From Main Vibe, I'm Ryan Gavin. Happy Friday, and this is One Minute Maine. An urgent call has gone out for poll workers needed desperately for the July primary. Poll workers are in high demand as many typical workers and volunteers plan to sit out this election day over COVID nineteen concerns. Help will be needed for mail in ballots, in person polling stations, and more.

It's the second claim of a hacked social media account in as many weeks for Maine public officials. The Hancock County district attorney now says his Facebook account was hacked after inappropriate comments came to light about running over a looter. He claims he did not post the material. Just last week, the deputy mayor of Brewer was forced to resign and was charged with filing a false police report when he claimed his account was hacked when racist comments came to light about the protests surrounding the death of George Floyd. In related news, Maine schools are reexamining the role of police resource officers in school in the wake of the protests across the country.

And this week, governor Janet Mills has announced a change to her quarantine policy for out of staters. She now says that out of state visitors could sign a pledge indicating that they've had a negative coronavirus test within seventy two hours as an alternative option to the fourteen day quarantine beginning July 1. That's what's up in Maine today. Hope you have a great weekend. We'll see you back here on Monday on Maine Vibe.
