诗篇33 - 勇士不能靠己力得救

Today we are looking at Psalm 33.

The author sings of God's might, his creation, and his favor towards his people.

今天，我特别被第16和17节吸引，经上说：君王不能靠军队的强大得救。

For today, I'm drawn to verses sixteen and seventeen where it is written, no king is saved by the size of his army.

战士也不能靠自身的勇力逃脱。

No warrior escapes by his great strength.

如果战士的勇力在拯救时刻无济于事，如果君王的军队也无法拯救君王，那么问题来了：我们为什么还需要战士或军队呢？

If a warrior's strength doesn't help him during time of rescue or if king's army doesn't help save the king then the question is why do we need a warrior or an army?

朋友们，答案是：我认为我们并不需要。

Friends, the answer is I don't think we do.

圣经中有一些例子，战争是在没有庞大军队或强大战士的情况下赢得的。

There are instances in the Bible where wars were won without massive armies or strong warriors.

但拥有战士是很重要的。

But it is important to have a warrior.

拥有军队本身是很重要的，因为我们仍然需要在这个世界上遵守秩序和纪律。

It is important to have an army per se because we are still to follow order and discipline in the world.

上帝看重的不是你的技能，而是你的纪律。

It is not your skill, but your discipline that God looks at.

今天的短篇提醒我们，当我们有纪律并将我们的努力交托给上帝时，他必会尊荣我们。

Today's minute is a reminder that when we are disciplined and we surrender our efforts to God, he will honor us.
