Today, we're looking at Psalm 36 written by King David.

今天，我特别关注第2到第4节，其中大卫王谈到恶人那种奉承的特质。

For today, I'm drawn to verses two to four, where King David talks about the flattering quality that wicked people have.

经文这样说：他们在自己眼中太过自夸，以致无法察觉或憎恶自己的罪。

And it says like this, in their own eyes, they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.

甚至在床榻上，他们也策划邪恶。

Even on their beds, they plot evil.

他们决意走上罪恶的道路，却不拒绝错谬之事。

They commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.

朋友们，恶人与义人之间有许多不同的特质。

Friends, there are many qualities that differentiate the wicked and the righteous.

说谎、愚昧、物质主义、操纵他人，等等，不一而足。

Lying, foolishness, materialism, being manipulative, and the list goes on.

奉承是其中之一。

Flattery is one among them.

然而，它是人所能拥有的最危险的品质之一。

It is however the one of the most dangerous quality someone can have.

正如大卫所指出的，奉承会使人无法察觉自己的罪。

As David notes, flattery will disable the person from detecting his or her own sin.

它让我们达到相信自己奉承话语的地步。

It takes us to the point where we believe in our own flattering words.

我们活在虚假的生活中。

We live the false life.

我们活在一个谎言中。

We live a lie.

朋友们，上帝精心而独特地创造了我们。

Friends, God designed us intricately and uniquely.

一旦我们意识到今天所拥有的一切美好都来自祂的恩典，我们就会停止骄傲，开始谦卑。

The moment we realize that all the good that we have today is from his grace, then we will stop being proud and start being humble.

今天的这分钟，作为提醒：上帝的恩典是我们成功的动力，我们应当抑制奉承的冲动。

Today's minute, as a reminder, that God's grace is the fuel to our success and that we should stamp the urge to flatter.

让我们不要活在谎言中。

Let's not live a lie.

让我们活出真理，按照上帝设计的方式生活。

Let's live the truth by living the way God designed us to live.
