As I've mentioned in the last episode, we just came back from a trip that basically went around the whole world. This summer, my mom and I went on a big adventure from London to Siberia to Italy. And, yes, we have so many stories to share. But before we jump all into that, I have one more big update. I've started fifth grade.

Can you believe it? I started this podcast in first grade, and now I'm the very top of elementary school. More about that in future episodes. But first, let me take you to our first stop of the summer, London, England. And the most unexpected thing that totally shocked me about London wasn't the castles, wasn't a guard with fuzzy hats.

It was a toy store. Yep. I said it. Let's go. Welcome back, big dreamers.

Now if you know me, you know this. I love stuffed animals, and not just any stuffed animals. I'm talking about jelly cats. You know, the soft, squishy, ridiculously adorable ones with the floppy limbs and the cutest faces. Well, guess what I found in London.

请鼓个掌——没错！官方Jellycat专卖店！千真万确，而且棒极了。

Drumroll, please. Yes. The official jelly cat store. And, yes, it's real. And, yes, it's amazing.

这家店位于百货商场的三四层，毫不夸张地说，整个空间都被Jellycat淹没了：巨型款、迷你款、吐司抱枕、微笑蘑菇、长手臂的牛油果...应有尽有。我给自己挑了几个，还给小侄女选了礼物——Jellycat的快乐就该与人分享。

It was on the Third Or Fourth Floor of this big department store. And when I say the place was packed, I mean it. There were jelly cats everywhere. Giant ones, tiny ones, toast plushies, smiling mushrooms, and avocados with arms, and so much more. I picked out a few for myself, but I also picked out some for my little niece because jelly cat is a joy that is meant to be shared.

I carried those plushies across the world from London to Siberia to Venice. And guess what? They made every hotel room feel like a home. I think these toys aren't just toys. They hold our memories, our hugs, and sometimes they carry our bravery too.

Now let me tell you about what else happened in London. We visited my mom's old friends, a beautiful family who lives just outside the city. And right away, I noticed something. First, their accents. If you've never been to London, get ready.

他们说的是英语，但听起来大不相同。裤子叫trousers，饼干叫biscuits，早餐居然有茶、焗豆和吐司。但真正震撼我的是他们家的温情。

They speak English, but it sounds so different. Pants are called trousers. Cookies are called biscuits. And breakfast includes things like tea and beans and toast. But what truly shocked me is the kindness in their home.

他们本可以埋头玩手机的青春期女儿特别友善，带我参观、问我问题、陪我玩耍，让我倍感亲切。其他孩子也很体贴，不像有些小孩沉迷电子设备，他们会读书、弹琴、聊天。

Their teenage daughter, who totally could have been on her phone, ignored me, was super friendly, and showed me around. She asked me questions, played with me, and made me feel really included. The other kids were kind too. They weren't stuck on their screens like little kids sometimes are. They read books, played music, had conversations.

那位父亲清晨弹钢琴看报纸，像老电影里的场景。母亲亲手烤面包和惊艳的蛋糕。更有意思的是——虽然住在伦敦，他们仍保留俄罗斯传统，因为妈妈的朋友其实是俄罗斯人。他们会做烤肉串。

And the dad, he played piano in the morning and read a newspaper, like out of an old movie. The mom, she made a homemade bread and this amazing cake. And here's the twist. Even though they live in London, they kept some Russian traditions too because my mom's friend is actually from Russia. They grill the shushlik.

基本就是俄式烧烤。他们待我们亲如家人，让我明白：善意与热情不需要共同语言，它们直抵心灵。

That's basically, like, Russian barbecue. They welcomed us like we were family, and I realized something. Kindness and hospitality. They don't need you to speak their language. They speak your heart.

家人让我想起一件重要的事，真正的慷慨是让远行者有宾至如归的感觉。所以当人们总问‘旅行中最难忘的是什么’时，我的真实答案是：是的，我记得那些地方。

And family reminded me of something big, that true generosity is making someone feel at home even when they're far from it. So when people always ask, what do you remember most from your travels? Here's my honest answer. Yes. I remember the places.

我记得风景与建筑。但最难忘的是共享的美食、相遇的人们，以及当一切陌生时让我微笑的玩具。实际上我有时会在困难时买个玩具，或为每次小冒险收藏玩具。比如这周末要去迪士尼，或许我会在那儿带个玩具回来。

I remember the views and the buildings. But what I remember most is the food we shared, the people we met, and the toys that made me smile when everything felt new. I actually sometimes like to get a toy when things are hard or get a toy from every little adventure. Like, I'm going to Disneyland this weekend. Maybe I'll get a toy there.

They keep special memories for me. And little secret, I remember every single one of those memories. So when I grow older, those memories will never be lost. Big dreamers, here's this week's challenge. Think back on a trip you've taken, big or small.
