Prosecutors in Arizona say they will seek the death penalty for Cleophus Cooksey Junior after a jury convicted him of eight murders, including his mother and stepfather. Evidence shows Cooksey carried out the string of shootings in Phoenix and Glendale over three weeks in 2017, just four months after he got out of prison for manslaughter. The jury also convicted him of crimes including kidnapping, sexual assault, and armed robbery. Cooksey maintained he's not a rapist or a murderer, but rather an aspiring musician. The agreement, which the Federal Trade Commission calls the largest civil penalty in its history, would require the ecommerce giant to pay a billion dollar penalty and create a 1 and a half billion dollar fund to pay consumers back. To settle the 2023 FTC lawsuit, Amazon also has to make sure it can no longer misrepresent the terms of a Prime subscription and give users a simple way to cancel. Affected customers could qualify for $51 each according to the FTC. The surprise settlement coming just three days into the trial. Lillian Wu, Fox News.

A new poll finds Americans are more likely to watch recently released movies from the comfort of their own homes instead of heading to a a theater. The Associated Press Newark Center for Public Affairs research poll shows about three quarters of US adults say they watched a new movie on streaming instead of in the theater at least once in the past year. While about two thirds say they've watched a movie in a theater, convenience and cost are both factors. I'm Lisa Licera. This is Fox News.
