你在日常英语对话中会经常使用连接词吗?

Do you normally use linking words in everyday English conversation?

Speaker 1

今天,了解为什么你需要稍微提升你的语言水平,并在口语第三部分使用这些制胜连接词来获得更高分数。

Today, find out why you need to elevate your language slightly and use these winning linking words in speaking part three for higher scores.

Speaker 0

嘿,奥布里。

Hey there, Aubrey.

Speaker 0

欢迎回来。

Welcome back.

Speaker 0

很高兴来到这里。

Happy to be here.

Speaker 0

你好吗?

How are you?

Speaker 1

嘿。

Hey.

Speaker 1

我很好,林赛。

I'm great, Lindsay.

Speaker 1

你呢?

How are you?

Speaker 0

很好。

Good.

Speaker 0

好的。

Good.

Speaker 0

我们今天要讨论什么?

What are we getting into today?

Speaker 1

嗯,我有个关于连接短语的问题想问你。

Well, I have a question for you about linking phrases.

Speaker 1

你说话时会用很多连接短语吗?

Do you use a lot of linking phrases when you are speaking?

Speaker 0

老实说我觉得我可能没用,因为确实没有。

I would say I honestly don't know that I do because no.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得说话的时候会有点不太一样。

I think when you're speaking, it's just a little bit a little different.

Speaker 0

可能会有点不连贯,因为这是很自然的。

It can be a little more disjointed because it's natural.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

在日常自然对话中,使用大量连接词其实并不常见。

In natural daily conversations, it's really not normal to use a lot of linking words.

Speaker 1

对大多数对话来说,这样会显得过于正式。

It feels overly formal for most conversations.

Speaker 1

但在口语考试中,考官会特别留意考生是否使用了多样的连接词。

But on the speaking test, the examiner is listening for a variety of linking words.

Speaker 1

你不能只是知道需要这样做,然后在考试当天突然就能做到。

You can't just know that you need to do that and then show up on test day and do it.

Speaker 1

这确实需要练习,因为它太不熟悉了。

This really has to be practiced because it's so unfamiliar.

Speaker 1

这是我们日常对话中不太会做的事情。

It's something we don't really do in daily conversations.

Speaker 0

你说得太对了。

You're so right.

Speaker 0

我是说,这再次证明了为什么母语者也不能直接走进考场就拿到九分。

I mean, is just another example of why native speakers don't really walk in and get nines right away.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我们都知道需要准备、掌握策略,并在考试时稍作调整。

We know that we know that we need to prepare and know the strategies and change things slightly when we're in that test.

Speaker 1

是的,另一个问题是许多学生一旦知道需要使用连接短语,如果只用'然后'、'因为'或'我认为'这类常见表达,仍然无法体现连接短语的多样性——那些不太常见的类型。

Yes, and the other problem is many students, once you know you need to use linking phrases, if you're only using very common ones like and then, because, or I think, these still aren't getting you that variety of linking phrases, the less common ones.

Speaker 1

所以如果只使用这些常见连接词,流利度和连贯性仍只能得六分或更低。

So you still will get six or less for fluency and coherence if these are the only ones you're using.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

所以关键是连接词,但不是随便什么连接词,对吧?

So it's linking words, but it's not any linking words, right?

Speaker 0

不是那些我们能用的简单连接词。

It's not the simple ones that we can use.

Speaker 0

所以今天我们要找出那些能让我们获得高分的魔法连接词。

So we're going to find out today what are those magical linking words that will get us that high score.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

很好。

Good.

Speaker 0

好吗?

Alright?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

太棒了。

Awesome.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

那么今天我们要分享的是具有特定功能的连接短语,对吧?

So, today we are sharing linking phrases for specific functions, right?

Speaker 1

每个连接短语都有其含义。

Every linking phrase has a meaning.

Speaker 1

你不能随便乱用然后指望它们能正确表达意思。

You can't just throw them out willy nilly and hope they'll be right.

Speaker 1

首先我们要讨论用于引入答案的连接短语。

So first we're talking about linking phrases we use to introduce an answer.

Speaker 1

很多回答都应该以连接短语开头。

Lot of your answers, you should start with a linking phrase.

Speaker 1

你应该练习使用以连接短语开头的填充短语来提升分数。

You should have filler phrases that begin with linking phrases that you're practicing using in order to boost those scores.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那么一些优秀的引入性连接短语示例包括:首先,然后继续你的回答,或者这样说。

So some examples of really winning introductory linking phrases where you would start your answer would be in the first place, and then you proceed with your answer or put it like this.

Speaker 0

这比日常随意对话要更正式一些,对吧?

And again, it just doesn't it's a notch above just everyday spontaneous conversation here, right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

这两种表达都非常地道自然。

These are both very native and natural.

Speaker 1

比如我们在讲故事时确实会用到这个,会有多个事件发生,很多学生只会听到他们说‘首先我做了这个’,神奇的是正因为这种表达不太常见,如果你改用‘首先’这个固定短语开头,就能提高分数。

We do sometimes use this if we're telling a story, for example, and there will be several things that happen, and a lot of students will just hear them say, First, I did this, So then it's amazing how just because this is less common, if instead you use this chunk in the first place, then that's boosting your scores.

Speaker 1

所以任何这些用于引入回答的短语,你需要练习使用它们,而不是在回答开始时直接切入主题。

So any of these phrases that introduce an answer, you want to practice these instead of saying, well, when you start your answer, be ready to dive right in with linking phrase.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

或者当我们引入观点时,情况略有不同对吧奥布里?

Or when we're introducing opinions, which is slightly different, right Aubrey?

Speaker 0

与引入回答相比,我想这可能是同一回事。

From introducing an answer, I guess it could be the same thing.

Speaker 0

但在口语第三部分,我们需要听起来更正式些。

But in speaking part three, we do want to sound a little more formal.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

完全正确。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

而且有一些专门用于引出观点的连接短语。

And there are specific linking phrases for introducing opinions.

Speaker 1

例如,你可以说'我认为'。当然,你听过'依我之见'。

For example, you can say, I am of the opinion that Of course, you have heard in my opinion.

Speaker 1

这实际上属于六分水平,因为每个学生都知道这个表达。

This is actually band six because every student knows it.

Speaker 1

每个学生都会说'依我之见'等等。

Every student says in my opinion, etcetera, etcetera.

Speaker 1

你可以用一两次,但在雅思口语中你会表达很多观点。

You could say that once or twice, but you're going to share a lot of opinions on IELTS speaking.

Speaker 1

所以,这里有几个其他选择。

So, are a few other options.

Speaker 0

是啊,'在我看来',不过我通常不说'在我看来',而是说'在我脑海中'。

Yeah, To my mind, which I don't say to my mind, I say in my mind.

Speaker 0

奥布里,你会用哪个说法?

Which one do you say, Aubrey?

Speaker 0

‘To my mind’和‘in my mind’

To my mind, in my mind.

Speaker 0

我觉得后者听起来自然得多

It sounds a lot more natural to me.

Speaker 1

‘To my mind’要正式得多

To my mind is a much more formal.

Speaker 1

这其实是9分段的衔接短语

This is actually a band nine linking phrase.

Speaker 1

学生们不太常用这个表达

Students don't use it a lot.

Speaker 1

用‘to my mind’显得更高级,比如‘我认为这事绝不该发生’

Much more elevated to say, to my mind, I think this should never happen.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的,我们也会说'in my mind',但'to my mind'因为更罕见所以分数更高。

So yeah, we also say in my mind, but to my mind is even higher scoring because it is more rare.

Speaker 0

好的,有意思。

Okay, interesting.

Speaker 0

或者用'I firmly believe',对吧?

Or I firmly believe, right?

Speaker 0

我坚信XYZ,然后我们给出细节来支持我们的观点。

I firmly believe XYZ, and then we give details to support our opinion.

Speaker 1

明白了吗?

All right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

发音也很重要,当我们使用这类词汇时。

And the pronunciation is important too when we use this kind of vocabulary.

Speaker 1

如果你说'I firmly believe',那表示你在分享你相当热衷的事情。

If you do say I firmly believe, you're sharing something you're pretty passionate about.

Speaker 1

所以你会想要更用力地强调这一点。

So you're going to want to punch that harder.

Speaker 1

我坚信这一点,对吧?

I firmly believe this, right?

Speaker 1

而且你还得考虑到这些表达与特定情绪或感受紧密相关,对吧?

And you also have to think about these are very specific to certain emotions or certain feelings, right?

Speaker 1

你不会说'我坚信蓝色是我最喜欢的颜色'这种话。

You wouldn't say I firmly believe that blue is my favorite color.

Speaker 1

这应该是你热衷的事情。

This is going to be something that you are passionate about.

Speaker 1

这通常适用于口语考试的第三部分。

It's often for speaking part three.

Speaker 1

如果你在讨论犯罪或环境问题并提出解决方案时,这样表达就很理想。

If you're talking about crime or the environment and you're sharing a solution, this would be ideal.

Speaker 1

比如:我坚信最佳解决方案是政府干预。

I firmly believe that the best possible solution would be government intervention, for example.

Speaker 0

比如当你在说一些可能有争议的话题,或者人们意见会分歧的事情时,这就是使用这句话的绝佳时机。

When you're saying something maybe that might be controversial, for example, or something that people will be split on, that's a great time to say that.

Speaker 1

我坚信。

I firmly believe.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

而且这些都属于相当正式的表达方式

And these are all quite a bit more formal.

Speaker 1

所以口语部分口语部分会非常完美。

So speaking part three will be perfect.

Speaker 1

有时口语部分部分二答案也口语部分

Sometimes speaking part two answers as well.

Speaker 1

口语部分1中使用的语言通常更自然。

And then the phrases, the linking phrases you use in speaking part one will often be more informal.

Speaker 1

所以,这很有趣。

So it's interesting.

Speaker 1

你真的需要考虑哪些连接短语适合你的回答和你要表达的内容。

You really have to think about which linking phrases are appropriate for your answer, for what you're saying.

Speaker 0

好的。

All right.

Speaker 0

我们这里还有一组选择。

And we do have one more batch of choices here.

Speaker 0

这是用于引入另一个例子或观点。

This is for introducing another example or another idea.

Speaker 0

所以当我们在构建口语第三部分或写作第二题的答案时,当然需要添加额外的例子或理由来支持我们的观点,对吧?

So when we're building a response for speaking part three or writing test two, we we're gonna want to, of course, add additional examples or reasons to support our opinion, right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

这在口语中可能会让你感觉最陌生。

And this might feel the most foreign when you are speaking.

Speaker 1

因为我们在写作时当然会这样做。

Because of course, we do this when we are writing.

Speaker 1

但当我们说话时,通常不会这样做。

But when we're speaking, we don't usually.

Speaker 1

我们通常会直接说'然后',接着给出另一个例子。

We'll just sort of say, and, and then we give another example.

Speaker 1

我们通常不会使用这些连接短语,但考官期待看到这些。

We don't usually use these linking phrases, but the examiner is looking for these.

Speaker 1

所以你要记得把它们加入回答中。

So you want to add them to answers.

Speaker 1

就像你说的林赛,口语第三部分正是需要你提供多个观点来撑满一分钟回答的完美场景。

And just like you said, Lindsay, speaking part three is perfect where you are going to want to give multiple ideas in order to speak for a full minute often.

Speaker 1

所以第一个例子,你可以说'此外'、'而且'或'再者',这些都表示我将提供更多细节或例子。

So your first example, you can either say in addition, moreover or furthermore, all of these just mean I am going to give additional details or examples.

Speaker 0

是的,另一个表达方式是'这种情况的又一个例子是'。

Yes, another one would be yet another example of this is.

Speaker 0

这种情况的又一个例子是。

Yet another example of this is.

Speaker 0

是的,那是个能拿高分的表达块,对吧?

Yes, that's a very high scoring chunk, right?

Speaker 1

它很精炼,很专业。

It's polished, it's professional.

Speaker 1

在第一部分你不会用这个,当谈论你喜欢的餐厅或你的爱好时。

This you wouldn't use this on part one, when you're talking about restaurants you like visiting or what hobbies you have.

Speaker 1

对那些非常非正式的问题和对话来说,这显得太正式了。

This is much too formal for those, you know, very informal questions and conversations.

Speaker 1

但这些关于更大议题的第三部分问题,用这个就非常完美。

But these part three questions about, you know, or bigger issues, then this would be perfect.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

我很喜欢这个。

I love that.

Speaker 0

我们还有一个例子。

And we have another one.

Speaker 0

最后一个。

One last one.

Speaker 0

我们的听众现在就可以记下来。

Our listeners our listeners could write down right now.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

最后一个,与这个的另一个例子非常相似。

The last one, very similar to yet another example of this.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

这的另一个原因或又一个原因是,对吧?

Yet another reason or yet another reason for this is, right?

Speaker 1

所以这些都是添加额外例子、补充细节的方法,但要用高分连接短语作为开头。

So all of these are ways to add additional examples, additional details, but prefacing them with a high scoring linking phrase.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

Excellent.

Speaker 0

好的。

All right.

Speaker 0

不错的内容。

Good stuff.

Speaker 0

好的,奥布里,我们回来了,现在是时候

Okay, Aubrey, we are back and now it's time

Speaker 1

做一些示例回答了。

to do some sample answers.

Speaker 1

是吗?

Yeah?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我们将用这些连接词给你两个第三部分的示例回答。

So we are going to give you two sample part three answers using some of these linking phrases.

Speaker 1

这样你就能明白该怎么做了。

So you can see how you do it.

Speaker 1

第三部分的回答时长约为一分钟。

A part three answer is about a minute.

Speaker 1

而且通常涉及稍微正式一些的话题,对吧?

And it's usually about something that's a little bit more of a formal topic, right?

Speaker 1

这些话题不一定是每天和朋友闲聊的内容。

It's not necessarily what you would chat with about friends every day.

Speaker 1

有时候你甚至不知道会和朋友聊些什么。

Sometimes you never know what you talk about with your friends.

Speaker 1

但正因为话题更正式一些,今天所有的连接短语都能完美适用。

But so because they're a little more formal, all of today's linking phrases would work perfectly.

Speaker 0

好的,太棒了。

Okay, perfect.

Speaker 0

那你想先开始还是我先来?

So would you like to go first or should I go first?

Speaker 0

由你决定。

Up to you.

Speaker 0

好的。

All right.

Speaker 0

我先问你。

I'll ask you first.

Speaker 0

需要我给你计时吗?

Should I time you?

Speaker 0

我们要在这里设个一分钟的计时器吗?

Should we do a timer here for a minute?

Speaker 1

如果你愿意的话可以计时一分钟,如果我没在一分钟内说完,你可以打断我说谢谢。

You can if you'd maybe time me for a minute and if I don't stop before a minute, you can interrupt me and say thank you.

Speaker 1

为了让听众朋友们知道,如果超时被打断是没问题的。

Just so we can let you listeners out there know, it's no problem to be interrupted if you go longer.

Speaker 1

实际上,当你和语伴练习时,这是个很好的练习机会。

You actually, when you're practicing with a speaking partner, it's good for you to practice that.

Speaker 1

练习被打断而不让它影响你的发挥。

Practice getting interrupted and not letting it throw you off.

Speaker 0

是的,因为考官绝不会指望你能精确计时一分钟并在规定时间内完美作答。

Yeah, because there's no way we could the examiner would never expect you to be able to time exactly a minute and deliver it perfectly in under a minute.

Speaker 0

所以,当考官打断你时,你应该仍在继续说话。

So, you should be still speaking by the time the examiner stops you.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果你能说大约一分钟并结束回答,那就太棒了。

And if you can speak for about a minute and end your answer, amazing.

Speaker 1

但即使被打断也没关系。

But if you're interrupted, no problem.

Speaker 1

别让它影响你的状态。

Don't let it, throw you off.

Speaker 1

准备好回答下一个问题就行。

Just be ready for the next question.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

那我们开始吧。

So here we go.

Speaker 0

我要启动计时器了。

I'm gonna hit the timer.

Speaker 0

如果有机会,你会想去太空吗?

So if you had the chance, would you like to go up into space?

Speaker 1

在我看来,没有人应该去太空。

To my mind, no one should be going to space.

Speaker 1

我不相信太空旅游。

I don't believe in space tourism.

Speaker 1

我认为用于将私人送上太空的资金可以有更好的用途。

I think the funds being used to send private individuals into space could be allocated in so many better ways.

Speaker 1

首先,解决饥饿问题。

First of all, feeding the hungry.

Speaker 1

此外,为无家可归者提供住所,我能想到数百万种更好的方式来使用这些钱,而不是仅仅为了让某人去太空炫耀。

Moreover, housing the homeless, I can think of millions of ways to use the money that is being spent for someone to just go into space to say that they did.

Speaker 1

当我们讨论出于其他原因的太空探索时,我能理解这种驱动力,我能明白其中的理由。

Now when we're talking about space exploration for other reasons, then I can see the drive, I can see the reasons.

Speaker 1

但至于我自己上太空,那完全没有必要。

But as far as me going into space, there's no need.

Speaker 1

我认为这不仅没有必要,而且简直是极不负责任的行为。

I find it not only unnecessary, but downright irresponsible.

Speaker 0

说得好。

Nice.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

你其实只差一点点就完成了,实际上你并没有。

You finished a little just a few actually, you didn't.

Speaker 0

你明白我的意思吗?

You know what I mean?

Speaker 0

我其实提前启动了计时器。

I actually started the timer early.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得你实际上是的。

So you I think you actually Yeah.

Speaker 0

正好在...我想我提前了四秒开始。

Finished right at a I think I started at four seconds early.

Speaker 0

所以,你可以继续了。

So, you are good to go.

Speaker 0

我想哦,强调一下

I want to Oh, highlight some

Speaker 1

是的。

yes.

Speaker 1

你先说吧,然后我想分享几点关于时间安排的想法。

Go ahead first, and then I want to share a couple of things about timing.

Speaker 0

当然。

Sure.

Speaker 0

我喜欢你对我说的那句话。

I like how you said to my mind.

Speaker 0

所以,你正在提出一个观点,可能是一个有争议的观点。

So, you're introducing an opinion, maybe a controversial one.

Speaker 0

我喜欢你使用的额外短语'allocated'。

I liked the bonus phrase you used allocated.

Speaker 0

你知道,说'资金被分配'比'资金被使用'更高级、更恰当。

You know, funds being allocated is a high a better way versus saying something like funds being used.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

不妨趁那个机会用上这个词。

Might as well take advantage of that moment to use that word.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

你用了'首先'和'此外',然后这就是我的看法。

You used first of all and moreover, and then, that's what I had.

Speaker 1

好的,不错。

Okay, nice.

Speaker 1

太棒了。

Awesome.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

我确实需要考虑使用那些连接短语。

And I did have to think about using those linking phrases.

Speaker 1

我也没怎么练习过这个,而且这不是不言而喻的,对吧?

I also haven't practiced this a ton, and it just doesn't go without saying, right?

Speaker 1

你需要练习使用那些能留下深刻印象的高分连接短语,这样才能提高你的流利度和连贯性分数。

It's something that you will need to practice using impressive higher scoring linking phrases in order to boost your fluency and coherence score.

Speaker 1

但关于时间安排有个快速提醒。

But one quick note about timing.

Speaker 1

有趣的是,考官不会给你的第三部分回答计时。

It's interesting, the examiner won't be timing your part three answers.

Speaker 1

他们必须在规定时间内问一定数量的问题。

They have to ask a certain amount of questions in that time.

Speaker 1

你的回答应该控制在约一分钟左右,这样才能充分回答这些通常较为复杂的问题。

Your answers should you should be shooting for about a minute in order to fully answer these usually more complicated questions.

Speaker 1

所以请计时练习,确保你能就话题谈论约一分钟。

So time yourself, make sure you can speak about it for about a minute.

Speaker 1

但他们打断你的唯一真正原因是需要提问下一个问题。

But the only reason they will really interrupt you is if they need to ask another question.

Speaker 1

所以如果你发言超过一分钟,即使只进行了三四十秒,但考官知道还需要再问三个问题,他们很可能会打断你,因为他们必须完成一定数量的问题。

So if you go on longer than about a minute, and then toward the end, even if it's only been thirty or forty seconds, but they know they have to ask three more questions, they will likely interrupt you just because they've got to ask a certain amount of questions.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Got it.

Speaker 0

好的,太棒了。

Okay, excellent.

Speaker 0

很高兴知道这一点。

Good to know.

Speaker 0

了解考试当天的结构非常重要,这样就不会有任何意外。

It's really important to know what the structure looks like on the so day nothing surprises us.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

你需要知道预期情况。

You want to know what to expect.

Speaker 1

你需要了解回答第二部分问题两分钟或第三部分约一分钟的感受。

You want to know how long it feels to answer that part two question for two minutes or part three for about a minute.

Speaker 1

好的,林赛,你准备好回答问题了吗?

Okay, Lindsey, are you ready for your question?

Speaker 1

当然。

Sure.

Speaker 1

我们开始吧。

Let's do it.

Speaker 1

好的。

All right.

Speaker 1

关于殖民另一个星球你怎么看?

How about colonizing another planet?

Speaker 1

你认为人类需要寻找另一个星球居住吗?

Do you believe humans need to find another planet to live on?

Speaker 0

天啊,这问题真难回答。

Oh my gosh, what a question.

Speaker 0

首先,我不太喜欢'殖民'这个词。

Well, first of all, I don't love the word colonizing.

Speaker 0

这词对我来说有负面含义。

That has bad connotations to me.

Speaker 0

说实话,在我看来,我们最终可能需要殖民另一个星球的原因,据我理解,应该是气候变化。

And, you know, honestly, to my mind, the idea of a reason that we might eventually need to colonize another planet, as far as I understand, that reason would be climate change.

Speaker 0

如果我们真走到那一步,就意味着我们已经毁掉了这个星球。

And if we get to that point, that means that we will have destroyed the planet.

Speaker 0

所以我坚信我们不配得到这个机会。

So I firmly believe we don't deserve it.

Speaker 0

如果我们毁掉地球,就不配找到另一个居住地。

We don't deserve finding another place to live if we destroy the planet.

Speaker 0

我是说,气候变化就真切地发生在我身边。

I mean, I can see climate change right here in my life.

Speaker 0

我父母在海边有栋房子,曾经有栋房子,我很确定二十年后它就会消失。

I mean, my parents have a harborside house, had one, that I'm pretty sure will be gone in twenty years.

Speaker 0

另一个例子是,我看到房屋就这样,再次强调,就这样从海岸线上消失。

Yet another example of this is I see houses just, again, just disappearing off the shore.

Speaker 0

我看到了污染。

I see pollution.

Speaker 0

我亲眼目睹这些变化正在发生。

I see the change happening right in front of my eyes.

Speaker 0

所以我不知道。

So I don't know.

Speaker 0

老实说,我不认为...我确实相信我们需要寻找新的居住地,但我不确定我们是否配得上它,这样说你能理解吗?

Honestly, I don't believe that we I do believe that we'll need to find another place to live, but I'm not sure that we deserve it, if that makes sense.

Speaker 1

我喜欢这个回答。

I love that answer.

Speaker 1

这里面有太多值得称道的地方了。

So many great things about this.

Speaker 1

首先,你用了很棒的连接短语来引出你的观点。

First of all, great linking phrases you use to my mind to introduce your opinion.

Speaker 1

然后还有'老实说'这样的表达。

And then honestly later.

Speaker 1

这个也很不错,对吧?

This is good as well, right?

Speaker 1

当我们要说'坦白讲'、'老实说'或'说实在的'时,这些都是第三部分高分连接短语。

When we want to say frankly, honestly, or in all honesty, these are also high scoring linking phrases for part three.

Speaker 1

记住,就像其他短语一样,这些都有实际含义。

And remember, just like these others, these have meaning.

Speaker 1

你绝不会说'老实说,我最喜欢的颜色是蓝色'。

You could never say, honestly, my favorite color is blue.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

这种情况适用于当你表达一个可能有人不同意的观点,但你觉得有必要坦诚相告时。

This is when you are sharing an opinion that some people might disagree with, but you feel like you need to be honest.

Speaker 1

非常有趣。

Very interesting.

Speaker 1

不过,我真的很喜欢你处理这种情况的方式——当你不同意某个问题或不喜欢问题中的某个词时,就像林赛说的那样,我不太喜欢'殖民'这个词。

But also, I really loved what you did where this might happen, where you disagree with a question or you don't like a word in a question, just like Lindsay said, I don't love the word colonizing.

Speaker 1

这个词带有负面含义,但她没有深入探讨,因为她意识到必须回答这个问题,否则可能会偏离主题。

This has bad connotations, but then didn't dive into it because she recognized that she had to answer this question because that's something that you could go off on a tangent about.

Speaker 1

而且你过去也讨论过对殖民主义不满的方面。

And you've talked about what you don't love about colonization in the past.

Speaker 1

然后考官只能说谢谢并问下一个问题。

And then the examiner has to say thank you and ask the next question.

Speaker 1

结果你会发现你实际上并没有回答关于我们是否应该殖民另一个星球的问题。

And you find that you haven't actually answered the question about if we should be colonizing another planet.

Speaker 1

所以这是需要注意的一个潜在陷阱。

So that's sort of a pitfall to watch out for.

Speaker 1

喜欢你这样开场,但你也意识到,我不能再深入探讨这个话题了。

Love that you started it that way, but you recognize like, I can't really go into that any further.

Speaker 1

我必须回答这个问题。

I have to answer this question.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

奥布里,如果我们那样做,会在评分中哪个部分体现出来?

And where would it show up in our score, Aubrey, if we did that?

Speaker 0

如果我们跑题了呢?

If we went off into a tangent?

Speaker 0

这在口语评分中会体现在哪里?

Where would that be on the speaking score?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果你完全不回答问题,这会直接影响你的口语任务回应分数。

If you don't answer the question at all, it is the task response score for your speaking.

Speaker 1

如果你不回答问题,分数最高只能得到四分。

And you can't get higher than a four if you don't answer the question.

Speaker 1

你可能还能在词汇、流利度和连贯性方面得到一些分数。

You might still get some points for vocabulary, fluency and coherence.

Speaker 1

但如果你跑题了,你的任务回应分数就会大幅下降。

But if you're not on topic, then your task response score is really going to plummet.

Speaker 0

好的,所以要抵制住把话题引向我们想要的方向的诱惑,不要以为只要我们在说话就没事。

Okay, so resist the temptation to take it in the direction we want and just assume it's okay because we're speaking.

Speaker 0

我们确实需要

We do have

Speaker 1

回答问题。

to answer the question.

Speaker 1

特别是在第三部分,这一点很重要,因为如果考官需要问另一个问题,他们可能不得不打断你,而且他们不能说‘我给你几分钟时间回答这个问题,然后再问下一个’。

Especially in part three, this is important because if the examiner needs to ask another question, they might have to cut you off and they can't say, I'll give you a few minutes to answer the question before I ask the next one.

Speaker 1

不,你的时间到了。

No, your time is up.

Speaker 1

你还没有回答那个问题。

You haven't answered that question.

Speaker 0

哦,了解这点太重要了。

Oh, so important to know.

Speaker 0

这些都是关于考试的小细节,如果我们不专门学习和准备,根本不会知道。

These are little nuances about the exam that again, we wouldn't know if we weren't studying this and preparing for this.

Speaker 1

没错,完全正确。

Right, absolutely.
