Speaker 0

你好,本。

Hello, Ben.

Speaker 1

嗨。

Hi.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

今天我们要做的是,我先和本聊一聊,了解一下他的情况,向大家介绍他进入播客世界。

So today, what we're gonna do is I'm gonna first have a little chat with Ben, find out a little bit about him, just to introduce him to to the the world of podcasting.

Speaker 0

然后我们会聊聊旅行。

Then And we're gonna talk about traveling.

Speaker 0

实际上,我们要谈谈去印度的经历,因为我们今年早些时候都去过那里。

Actually, we're gonna talk about going to India because we both went there earlier this year.

Speaker 0

所以我们会讨论旅行,特别是去印度的经历。

So we're gonna be talking about traveling, going to India.

Speaker 0

然后在播客的第三部分,我们将分析一些我们使用的语言。

And then in the third part of the podcast, we're going to look at some of the language that we used.

Speaker 0

基本上,我们会用到一些非常非常实用且重要的表达,这些在你谈论出国度假旅行时能派上用场。

And basically, we're gonna use some really, really useful, really important language that you can use when you're talking about going traveling, traveling to foreign countries on holiday.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 0

所以这就是播客中将要发生的内容。

So that's what's gonna happen in the podcast.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那么,本,你好。

So Ben Hi.

Speaker 0

最近怎么样?

How's it going?

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

挺好的。

Good.

Speaker 1

不错。

Good.

Speaker 1

刚结束今天的工作。

Just finished work for the day.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

其实你和本在同一所学校工作。

So you're actually, Ben works in the same school as me.

Speaker 0

你在那里工作多久了?

How long have you worked there?

Speaker 1

我在那里工作了大约四年,但教书大概有六七年了。

I've worked there about four years now, but I've been teaching for about six and a half, seven years, I think.

Speaker 1

哦,好的。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 0

你之前在哪里工作?

Where did you work before?

Speaker 1

嗯,我在牛津住过一段时间,所以曾在那里工作。

Well, I lived in Oxford for a little while, so I was working there for a while.

Speaker 0

是牛津大学吗?

That's Oxford University?

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

不完全对。

Not quite.

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

好的。

A Okay.

Speaker 1

牛津的一所语言学校。

Language school in in Oxford.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

但不是牛津大学?

But not Oxford University?

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

哦,好吧。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

但它仍然是所好学校。

But it's still a good was a good school.

Speaker 1

在牛津。

In Oxford.

Speaker 1

牛津非常好。

Oxford's very good.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

当然。

Of course.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

牛津。

Oxford.

Speaker 0

人人都知道牛津。

Everyone knows Oxford.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

那么你在大学里具体是做什么的呢?

So so did you kind of what did you do at university?

Speaker 1

其实我在曼彻斯特学习社会科学。

Well, I studied in Manchester and I studied social science actually.

Speaker 1

哦,是的。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

这是一门相当综合的学科。

It's quite a mixed subject.

Speaker 1

我学了一点社会学、一点经济学、一点商科,还有一点政治学。

I studied a bit of sociology, bit of economics, bit of business, a bit of politics.

Speaker 1

然后我毕业后在办公室工作了一段时间,但不喜欢那份工作。

And then I finished there and I worked in an office for a little while and didn't like it.

Speaker 1

那不适合我。

Was not for me.

Speaker 1

不适合。

No.

Speaker 1

于是我开始在这里教书。

And I started teaching here.

Speaker 0

哦,真不错。

Oh cool.

Speaker 0

那你教的是商务课程吗?

So so do you teach business courses?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

教。

Do.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我教商务课程。

I teach business.

Speaker 1

实际上,我教授多种不同的课程。

In fact, I teach a variety of different courses.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

考试课程、通用英语,还有大量商务内容。

Exam courses, general English, a lot of business.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

所以你是个非常棒的老师。

So you're like a really good teacher.

Speaker 1

嗯,也不总是。

Well, not always.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我喜欢。是的。

I like to Yes.

Speaker 1

思考

Think

Speaker 0

我也这么认为。

I think so.

Speaker 0

实际上,你确实获得了文凭资格,对吧?

Now, actually, you did the diploma qualification, didn't you?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我是在伦敦大学学院完成的。

I did that at University College London.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

UCL。

UCL.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那真的很不错,实际上那是所好大学。

So that's a really good that is actually a good university.

Speaker 1

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

非常...没错。

It's very yeah.

Speaker 1

挺好的。

It was good.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

而且你其实是和我同一位导师带的。

That and you did it with the same person that I did it actually.

Speaker 0

所以我想你是前一年修的那门课,而我是在第二年修了同样的课程。

So I think you did the course one year and I did the same course the year after.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

同一个老师,所有条件都一样,

Same teacher and everything,

Speaker 1

这还挺酷的。

which is kind of cool.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

Wicked.

Speaker 0

那你住在附近吧?

So you live you live nearby.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

你住在附近,是吧。

You live sort of Yeah.

Speaker 1

我就住在西伦敦,沿着这条路下去。

I live just just down the road in, yeah, West London.

Speaker 1

我住得离河很近,泰晤士河,挺不错的。

I live quite near the river, which is quite nice, the Thames.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以有时候下班后我会去河边坐坐。

So, yeah, I go and sit sit by the river sometimes after work.

Speaker 1

那样放松一下挺好的。

That's nice just to to chill out.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

Wicked.

Speaker 0

你不是QPR的球迷吗?

And aren't you a QPR fan?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

绝对的。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

我爱QPR。

I love QPR.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那很酷。

That's cool.

Speaker 1

皇后公园巡游者队,没错,在西伦敦的谢泼德布什区。

Queens Park Rangers, yeah, in Shepherds Bush in West London.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他们不在英超联赛,对吧?

They're they're not in the premiership though, are

Speaker 1

他们?

they?

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

可惜,不在。

Unfortunately, no.

Speaker 1

他们现在不是了。

They're not these days.

Speaker 1

他们曾经是。

They used to be.

Speaker 1

不过,是的,现在他们在英冠联赛,这是荷兰的第二级别联赛。

But, yeah, now they're in the championship, which is the the second league in Netherlands.

Speaker 0

就是比英超低一级的那个联赛。

The one it's like one down from the premiership.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

你为什么不像切尔西这样的英超俱乐部那样支持一支球队呢?

Why don't you support like a premiership club like Chelsea or something?

Speaker 1

嗯,是的。

Well, yeah.

Speaker 1

老实说,我并不太喜欢切尔西,但通常你在年轻时选择的球队就是你本地的球队,然后基本上你就会一直支持它。

I don't really like Chelsea to be honest, but usually you you choose a team when you're younger, which is usually your local team, and you you stick to that, basically.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

所以

So

Speaker 0

当你决定支持QPR的时候,他们当时表现好吗?

what what when you decided to support QPR, were they good then?

Speaker 1

他们当时表现很好。

They were good.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们曾经是。

They were.

Speaker 1

他们以前比现在强多了。

They were much better than they are now.

Speaker 1

但我依然生活着,并且希望他们会变得更好。

But I still live and, you know, hope that they will get better.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯,他们是...他们是最大的之一...我觉得他们是国内最富有的俱乐部。

Well, they're they're one of the biggest they're they're I think they're the richest club in in the country.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯,他们被收购了。

Well, they were taken over.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

去年被几个非常有钱的百万富翁收购的。

Last year by some very wealthy millionaires.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就像是一个意大利人和一个印度人。

It's like an Italian guy and an Indian guy.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

他们在F1赛车领域工作。

They work for work in Formula One.

Speaker 1

所以他们是女王公园巡游者队的老板。

So they're owners of QPR.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

所以他们确实非常富有。

So they're actually really rich.

Speaker 0

谁知道呢,也许很快他们就会成为下一个切尔西。

So who knows soon, hopefully, they they will become the next Chelsea.

Speaker 1

我满怀希望。

I live in hope.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

希望如此。

Let's hope so.

Speaker 0

希望如此。

Let's hope so.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

嗯,太棒了,很高兴能和你聊聊天。

Well, Wicked, nice to nice to sort of have a chat with you.

Speaker 0

我希望互联网上的朋友们能对你有多一些了解

I hope that everyone out there in Internet land sort of, you know, knows a bit more about you

Speaker 1

现在。

now.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

太好了。

Great.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

实际上,我打算在网页上写下本和我对话中使用的一些表达。

Now, actually, I'm going to write on the web page some of the language that Ben and I used in that conversation.

Speaker 0

因为当你在学校学习英语,来英国课堂上学英语时,他们总是教你这些自我介绍时用的非常奇怪的问题。

Because when you study English at school, when you come to England and study English in a class, they always teach you when you're introducing yourself these kind of really silly strange questions.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

比如,在语言课上我们会说,他们会问类似'你的爱好是什么?'这样的问题

Like, for example, we would say in in a in a language class, they say something like, what are your hobbies?

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

但我不认为我们真的会问'你的爱好是什么?'

But I don't think we ever actually say what are your hobbies?

Speaker 1

确实不会

Not really.

Speaker 1

在自然对话中不会这么问

Not in a natural conversation.

Speaker 0

这有点奇怪,就像你在酒吧遇到某人,你绝不会真的问'所以你的爱好是什么?'

It's kind of strange if if you're like in the pub and you meet someone, you would never really say, so what are your hobbies?

Speaker 0

你懂吧?

You know?

Speaker 0

不会的

No.

Speaker 1

那会非常奇怪。

It'd it'd be very strange.

Speaker 1

奇怪。

Strange.

Speaker 0

而且他们会问,你的爱好是什么?

And also, they say, what are your hobbies?

Speaker 0

还有他们总是教这些内容。

And and what else they they always teach and those things.

Speaker 0

你家有几口人?

So how many people are there in your family?

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

同样,问别人这种问题也挺奇怪的。

Again, it's quite a strange question to ask someone.

Speaker 0

你喜欢宠物吗?

And do you like pets?

Speaker 1

喜欢。

Yes.

Speaker 1

不喜欢。

Not no.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这个问题不太好。

Not a good question.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

总是这类问题。

It's it's always questions like that.

Speaker 0

但在我和本的对话中,你绝对能听到真实的伦敦人日常交谈的自然对话。

But in the conversation that Ben and I had, you'll actually be able to hear definitely a natural conversation that real Londoners, you would would actually have.

Speaker 0

所以这是个非常真实的例子。

So that's a very realistic example.

Speaker 0

我会把那段对话中的一些表达写下来,放到网页上,这样你就能真正学到、复制并运用它们,从而成为更优秀的表达者。

So I'm gonna write some of the language from that conversation down, put it on the web page, and then you can actually learn it, copy it, and use it, and you will then become a better speaker.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

这就是事实。

So it's just a fact.

Speaker 0

听起来是个好主意。

Sounds a good idea.

Speaker 1

这是事实。

It's a fact.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你无法否认这绝对是事实。

You can't deny it's an absolute fact.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

那么,我们即将进入的这部分,实际上将是播客的第三部分。

So here here we come with part well, this is gonna be part three, actually, of the podcast.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这是一个四部分的系列。

This this is a four parter.

Speaker 0

这是个大型播客。

This is a big podcast.

Speaker 1

哦,是的。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我们现在要进入第三部分了。

We're coming up to part three now.

Speaker 0

我们要聊聊旅行和出国的话题。

We're gonna talk about traveling and going abroad.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

开始吧。

Here we go.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

今年我和本都去印度度假了。

So now Ben and I both went to to India on holiday this year.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但是时间不同。

But at different times.

Speaker 0

我是在一月份去的,待了大约两周。

So like I went in I went right at the January for about two weeks.

Speaker 0

你是什么时候去的?

When did you go?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我其实是二月份去的,待了三周。

I went in February actually for three weeks I went.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

其实我还去了果阿,就住在那里,果阿位于西海岸。

Now I I actually went to to Goa, and I stayed in Goa, is like in West on the West Coast.

Speaker 0

是西海岸还是东海岸?

Is it the West Coast or the East?

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以是西海岸。

So it's the West Coast.

Speaker 0

那是印度的西海岸。

It's the West Coast of India.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

而且那里真的很美。

And it's it's kind of like it's really beautiful place.

Speaker 0

现在去那里非常便宜。

It's very cheap to go to now.

Speaker 0

我还顺便去了趟亨比。

I also did a little trip to Hampi.

Speaker 1

哦,是的。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

亨比。

Hampi.

Speaker 1

去过,是的。

Went Yeah.

Speaker 1

实际上我现在已经去过印度三次了。

I've actually been to India three times now.

Speaker 1

最近那次是我第三次去印度,是的,我去了南部地区。

It was my third time when I went recently and, yeah, I went to the the South.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我飞抵东海岸的金奈,然后沿着最南端环游了一圈。

I flew into Chennai, which on the opposite coast, the East Coast, and I traveled around the bottom point.

Speaker 0

好的,你是一路南下环游的?

Okay, you traveled all the way down around

Speaker 1

最南端?

the bottom point?

Speaker 1

没有,我没到最南端,算是绕过了最底部。

No, I didn't go to the very bottom, I sort of cut the bottom without.

Speaker 1

很酷。

That's cool.

Speaker 1

感觉不错。

It's nice.

Speaker 1

我当时在喀拉拉邦。

I was in Kerala.

Speaker 0

喀拉拉邦。

Kerala.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我从没去过喀拉拉邦,但大家都说那里很棒。

I've never been to Kerala, but everyone says it's great.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那里真的非常非常美。

It was really, really nice.

Speaker 1

风景如画的地方。

Beautiful place.

Speaker 0

但印度本身就是个相当特别的地方,不是吗?

But India is just a sort of pretty special place, isn't it really?

Speaker 0

你知道的,它真的很令人惊叹。

It's kind of, you know, it's pretty amazing.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯,我就是喜欢它,因为它与我在伦敦所习惯的截然不同。

Well, I just love it because it's just so different from what I'm used to in in London.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

就是那种文化、色彩和气味的交融。

Just a mix of culture and color and smells.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那里非常非常充满活力,但有时可能有点过于热闹,甚至相当混乱。

It's very, very vibrant and maybe sometimes a little bit too much is quite chaotic.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

我在想,为了描述印度的方方面面,我们可以先谈谈好的方面。

Well, I was just thinking of in order to describe all the different aspects of India, right, We could just talk about the good things first.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

先列举所有的优点,然后再列出缺点

Just just list all the good things about it, and then list all the bad things about

Speaker 1

也是。

it too.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我认为当然好事比坏事多,因为你知道,那是个很棒的地方

And I think there are more good things than bad things, of course, because, you know, it's a great place

Speaker 1

那我太喜欢了

to I love it then.

Speaker 1

是啊

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但那地方有点疯狂,不是吗?

But it's kind of crazy place, isn't it?

Speaker 1

非常疯狂

It's very crazy.

Speaker 1

没错

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我是说,你走在街上,各种事情同时发生

I mean, you walk down the streets and then there's just everything's happening at the same time.

Speaker 1

街道上车水马龙,行人、牛马混杂,一片繁忙景象。

There's cars and people and cows and horses and everything's going on.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是非常、非常混乱。

It's just very, very chaotic.

Speaker 0

但好处是——我是说物价很便宜,对吧?

But the good things are I mean, it's cheap, right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实便宜。

It's cheap.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

尤其对我们来说,你知道的,我们的货币汇率相当坚挺。

Certainly for us, we've got the you know, our currency is quite strong.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

对我们来说相当便宜。

It's pretty cheap for us.

Speaker 0

汇率很划算。

It's a good exchange rate.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

汇率确实很有利。

The exchange rate, yeah, works out really well.

Speaker 1

知道。

Know.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

展开剩余字幕(还有 480 条)
Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

尽管英镑实际上已经贬值了,我觉得。

Even though the pound has actually dropped in value, I think.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

最近才发生的,对吧?

As recently, right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

考虑到目前所有的金融问题。

With all the financial problems at the moment.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

基本上,我不知道其他国家是否也这样,但在英国,我们的经济有点糟糕,主要是因为一群银行家决定 that, all, and lend it to each other all the time.

Basically, I don't know if it's the same in everyone else's countries, but in England, our economy is a bit screwed, basically, because a load of bankers decided that they would just misuse all our money and lend it to each other all the time.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是这样。

Just yeah.

Speaker 0

所以他们真的把一切都搞砸了。

So they've really sort of messed everything up.

Speaker 0

所以结果就是,我们都在为此付出代价,因为,你知道,汇率很差,人们正在失去工作等等。

So as a result, we're all paying for it because we've, you know, we've got a bad exchange rate and people are losing their jobs and things.

Speaker 0

这就是经济衰退。

It's the it's it's the recession.

Speaker 1

我想他们称之为信贷紧缩。

It's the credit crunch, they call it, I think.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

信贷紧缩。

Credit crunch.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这并不有趣。

It's not fun.

Speaker 0

但无论如何,与印度相比,与卢比相比,英镑非常坚挺。

But anyway, compared to India, compared to the rupee, the pound is extremely strong.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

印度的另一个好处,我是说,对我们来说也是,天气非常好,嗯。

The other good thing in India, I mean, for also for us is that the weather so good is Mhmm.

Speaker 1

大部分时间都相当炎热。

It's pretty hot most of the time.

Speaker 1

事实上,有时会有点太热了。

In fact, sometimes it's little bit too hot.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

大概三十多度吧。

It's like sort of in the thirties.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

绝对是这样。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

而且阳光非常、非常充足。

And it's very, very sunny.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

有点像在果阿,太阳整天都照耀着。

It's kind of like in Goa, the the sun just shines all day.

Speaker 0

完美的湛蓝天空,你知道的,温度大概34度左右。

There's a perfect clear blue sky, you know, and it's just like 34 degrees or something.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

微风轻拂。

A light breeze.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

微风习习。

Light breeze.

Speaker 1

如果你想的话,可以去晒日光浴。

You can go sunbathing if you want.

Speaker 1

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

有时候可能会觉得有点太热了

Sometimes you might find it's a bit too hot.

Speaker 1

是啊

Yeah.

Speaker 1

但果阿的好处就在于它真的很悠闲,对吧?

But Go is what's nice about Go is it's really chilled, isn't it?

Speaker 1

没错

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那里的氛围非常轻松

It's a really relaxed vibe.

Speaker 0

是啊

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对

That's right.

Speaker 0

完全放松的状态。

Totally chilled out.

Speaker 0

实际上情况是,你早上起床后大致会做些计划。

You can just actually, what happens is you get up in the morning and you kind of make some plans.

Speaker 0

就是这样,没错。

It's like, right.

Speaker 0

今天打算做什么呢?

What are gonna do today?

Speaker 0

然后你大约10:30出门,吃完香蕉奶昔当早餐后。

And then you go out in about 10:30 after you've had your sort of banana smoothie for breakfast.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

去海滩上走走。

Go out onto the beach.

Speaker 1

我记得那个。

I remember that.

Speaker 0

就晒晒太阳。

Just do a bit of sunbathing.

Speaker 0

然后不知不觉间,你就完全被晒得热烘烘的了。

And then before you know it, you're just absolutely baked out there in the heat.

Speaker 0

你动都动不了。

And you can't move.

Speaker 0

只能一整天都待在那里。

You just gotta stay there all day.

Speaker 0

或许可以下海游个泳。

Just maybe have a bit of a swim in the sea Yeah.

Speaker 0

基本上就是躺着晒太阳,什么也不做。

But just basically lie in the sun and do nothing.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

挺惬意的。

It's quite nice.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我不喜欢旅行时总是那样。

I don't like doing that all the time when I'm traveling.

Speaker 1

放松几天确实很惬意。

For a few days, it's definitely nice.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,能出去多旅行固然很棒,但你会发现时间就这样不知不觉溜走了。

It's I mean, it's great to be able to get out and do some extra traveling, but you do find that time just sort of, you know, just slips by.

Speaker 1

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

但度假时你需要放松,所以这是

But you need to relax when you're on holiday, so it's a

Speaker 0

一件积极的事情。

it's a positive thing.

Speaker 0

另一个好处是那里的人们真的非常、非常友善。

The another good thing about about it is the the people are just really, really friendly.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

实际上他们的英语说得相当不错。

They speak reasonable English, actually.

Speaker 1

有时候他们说得并不完美。

Sometimes they're not perfect.

Speaker 1

他们的语法不太好,但沟通能力很强。

Their grammar is pretty bad, but they can communicate very well.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这这相当重要。

And that's that's quite important.

Speaker 1

所以我在那里工作时,和我们交流相当容易

So it's quite easy for for me to work with us when I was there to

Speaker 0

与人交谈。

speak to people.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他们掌握了一种基础英语,非常典型,你知道的。

They've got a sort of a kind of basic English, which is very typical, you know.

Speaker 0

他们基本上都学了英语,实际上,我在那里遇到的一些人英语说得非常好。

They they all sort of learn and well, actually, some of the people I met there learned really good English.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我遇到过一些英语说得很地道的人。

I met some people who spoke perfect English.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我们住的那家旅店的经理,他操着一口纯正的伦敦考克尼口音。

The the one guy who we we stayed at this accommodation and the manager had a perfect British Cockney accent.

Speaker 0

而他从未去过伦敦。

And he'd never ever been to London.

Speaker 0

但他说话就像,'嗨,老兄'这样。

But he was like, alright, mate.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

最近怎么样?

How's it going?

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

说话像只鹅。

Speaking like a geese.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他就像,

He's like,

Speaker 0

好的,老兄。

alright, mate.

Speaker 0

好的,鹅兄。

Alright, geese.

Speaker 0

就像那样。

Like that.

Speaker 0

而他刚从果阿来。

And he was just from Goa.

Speaker 0

他从没离开过果阿,却带着那种口音。

He never left Goa, but he had that accent.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

真神奇。

Amazing.

Speaker 1

有意思。

Interesting.

Speaker 1

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但他们很多人只会基础英语,比如简化成‘要坐人力车吗?’这类话。

But a lot of them just have a sort of basic English, which is like, you know, reduced to stuff like, you want rigshaw?

Speaker 0

要出租车吗?

You want taxi?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

语法不太规范,对吧?

The grammar's not great, is it?

Speaker 0

没错。

Yes.

Speaker 0

有点基础。

Kinda basic.

Speaker 1

像是食物一样。

It's a bit of food.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

不过还行。

But it's alright.

Speaker 0

挺酷的。

It's cool.

Speaker 0

它还有什么其他优点?

What else is good about it?

Speaker 1

其实我挺喜欢这食物的。

So I like the food, actually.

Speaker 1

不是所有人都喜欢咖喱,但我可是它的忠实粉丝。

Not everyone likes curry, but I'm quite a fan of it.

Speaker 1

这在这里很受欢迎,对吧?

It's very popular here, isn't it?

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我们英国人都爱咖喱。

We love curry in in England.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那里还有很多本地风味的咖喱可以品尝。

They have lots of, like, local curries as well that you can get there.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

有很多新鲜鱼类和美味的咖喱。

Lots of fresh fish and good sort of curries or curries.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那么多新鲜鱼类。

Low all that fresh fish.

Speaker 0

我想那应该叫鰤鱼。

I think it's called kingfish.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他们不是会派人划着木船出去捕鱼吗?

Don't they don't they sort of send guys out on these wooden boats to kind of go fishing?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果你早起的话,早上就能看到他们收网捕鱼。

And if you wake up early, you can see them pulling the nets in in the morning catching the fish.

Speaker 0

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

酷。

Cool.

Speaker 0

还有呢?

What else?

Speaker 0

我是说,看着渔船出海时待在沙滩上感觉真的很棒。

I mean, it's just very nice to, like, be on the beach when the fishing boats go out.

Speaker 0

有时候因为他们会请你帮忙把船推下水。

Sometimes because they ask you to push them into the water.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

然后他们会在海上待上大概四个小时。

And then they they're out there for like four hours.

Speaker 0

等他们把鱼和渔网都带回来后,所有的妇女就会出来收集鱼获,然后把它们全部运到某个地方去。

And then when they bring all the the the fish back in and the nets, then all the the women come out and they collect all the fish and they carry it all back somewhere.

Speaker 1

哦,是啊。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

她们是用头顶着运的,对吧?

And they carry it on their head, don't they?

Speaker 1

就像是

And like

Speaker 0

嗯,对。

a Yeah.

Speaker 1

她们会在头上垫个垫子,然后...对。

They put like a pad on their head and then Yeah.

Speaker 1

她们用头顶着运

They carry it on

Speaker 0

她们的头上。

their head.

Speaker 0

而且她们都穿着这些色彩绚丽的纱丽。

And they're and they're all wearing like these beautiful beautifully colored saris.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

它们真的非常色彩斑斓。

They're really really colorful.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他们穿的衣服非常漂亮。

Very beautiful clothes that they wear.

Speaker 0

而且还有果阿的老城区部分,那里曾是葡萄牙的殖民地,我想,因为它曾被葡萄牙殖民过。

And there's there's like the old part of Goa as well, which was Portuguese colony, I think, because it was it was sort of colonized by the Portuguese.

Speaker 0

是的。

So Yeah.

Speaker 0

那里有很多葡萄牙风格的建筑。

There's a lot of Portuguese architecture.

Speaker 1

那里基督教氛围相当浓厚。

It's it's quite Christian.

Speaker 1

那里有很多基督徒。

There's quite a lot of Christians there.

Speaker 1

那里有很多教堂,对吧?

There's churches, isn't it?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

不过,那里也有印度教寺庙之类的。

But as well, there's like Hindu temples and things too.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

实际上还有很多清真寺。

And quite a lot of mosques, actually.

Speaker 1

那里真是个大熔炉,对吧?

It's quite a quite a big mix, isn't it?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

确实如此。

It is.

Speaker 0

这就是另一个很棒的地方——一切都很多元化,而且人们思想很开放。

That's that's another cool thing about it is that everything's sort of diverse and they're quite open minded, you know.

Speaker 0

那里曾经是嬉皮士们热衷的热门去处。

It used to be a big a popular place for hippies.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我想在六十年代,六十年代的时候,很多本地人都纷纷前往那里

Back in the sixties in the sixties, I think a lot of people from here came came to go

Speaker 0

正是这样。

That's right.

Speaker 0

而且,他们还会在海滩上举办那种大型派对之类的活动,对吧?

And, I mean, like, they have sort of big parties on the beach out there and stuff like that, don't

Speaker 1

对吧?

they?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

就是这样,没错。

And it's just yeah.

Speaker 1

有很多地方可以停下来喝点东西,比如奶昔之类的。

Lots of, like, sort of places you could stop and have a drink and have a milkshake or something.

Speaker 1

是的。

It's Yeah.

Speaker 1

很不错。

It's nice.

Speaker 1

很酷。

It's cool.

Speaker 0

告诉你什么很有趣,实际上,如果你能租一辆出租车或人力车一整天。

The tell you what is fun, actually, if you if you get, a taxi or a a rickshaw for for just the whole day.

Speaker 0

你可以找个司机商量好,让他整天带你到处逛,最后再付钱给他。

You can just like meet a guy and, you know, agree that he will just take you around everywhere all day, and then you just pay him at the end of the day.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他们真的很照顾你。

They they really look after you.

Speaker 1

他们会给你提供类似导游服务,对吧?

They give you like a sort of guided tour, don't they?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

租摩托车也很酷。

And hiring scooters is cool.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我有辆摩托车,用了几天。

I had a scooter, yeah, for a couple of days.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得这很棒,因为我能看到比平时可能更多的东西。

And I it's quite nice because I got to see a bit more than what I would normally maybe.

Speaker 1

是啊。

So yeah.

Speaker 1

而且你可以随意选择不同的方向,不用真正计划要去哪里。

And you can also sort of go go off on different directions and not really plan where you're going.

Speaker 1

就是那种

Just kind

Speaker 0

不走寻常路。

of go off the beaten track.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

而且

And

Speaker 0

当你骑着小摩托穿过某个小镇时,感觉真的很棒,孩子们会跑到街上跟你打招呼。

it's really it's really nice if you're on a scooter and you're riding through like a little town somewhere, then all the children come out into the street and they'll go, hi.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们会想跟你说话,向你挥手。

And they'll want to speak to you and wave at you.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

确实如此。

That's right.

Speaker 0

他们都想骑上小摩托玩玩什么的。

They all want to like ride on the on the scooter and stuff.

Speaker 0

这感觉特别酷。

It's really cool.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

哦,是的。

So oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,亨比很棒。

I mean, Hampi is great.

Speaker 0

那里就像古老的朝圣地,到处是宏伟美丽的寺庙。

It's like this old sort of pilgrimage site and these huge beautiful temples everywhere.

Speaker 0

简直美得令人窒息。

It's absolutely stunning.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那里还有一大堆巨大的岩石。

And they've got there's loads of, like, big rocks around.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那相当有趣。

That's quite interesting.

Speaker 0

有意思。

Interesting.

Speaker 0

没错没错。

That's That's right.

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

巨大的石块堆积如山,但没人真正知道这是怎么形成的。

Huge boulders of piles of stones, and nobody really knows how how it happened.

Speaker 0

这景色非常诡异,

It's very strange, the the landscape.

Speaker 1

就像有人把它们一个个叠起来似的。

It's like someone's placed them on top of each other.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

氛围感十足,确实。

It's very atmospheric Yeah.

Speaker 0

其实。

Actually.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

总的来说,你知道的,印度果阿就是很酷。

So generally, you know, Goa, India is just really cool.

Speaker 1

但肯定也有些不好的地方,

But there there must be some bad things,

Speaker 0

没有吗?

isn't There are.

Speaker 0

确实有不好的方面。

There are bad things.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那么,我们来看看那些糟糕的

Well, let's look at those bad

Speaker 1

事情,好吗?

things, shall we?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那么,什么是不好的呢?

So what what is what is bad?

Speaker 0

哎呀,天哪。

Well, gosh.

Speaker 0

当你第一次到达印度时,是的。

When you first arrive in in India and yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,当你第一次到达像德里这样的地方时,是的。

If you first arrive I mean, you arrive in somewhere like Delhi Yeah.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

那是大城市。

That's Big city.

Speaker 0

那是个大城市,简直疯狂极了。

That's a big city and that is absolutely crazy.

Speaker 0

其实我从未在德里降落过,但我听说过那里的情况。

I never actually I've never landed in Delhi, but I've heard about it.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我去过德里。

I've been to Delhi.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但我降落在果阿的机场时,那场面也挺疯狂的。

But I've I've landed in in the airport at Goa, and that's pretty crazy.

Speaker 1

呃,你说疯狂是什么意思?

Well, how how what do you mean when you say crazy?

Speaker 0

就是那种你一走出机场,到处都是人,满眼的出租车和三轮车,

Well, it's kind of like you you come out of the airport and there are loads of people everywhere, loads of taxis and rickshaws there,

Speaker 1

还有不断纠缠你的人。

and just loads of people who just keep hassling.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那种纠缠真的很烦人,对吧?

The hassle is really bad, isn't it?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

总有人过来问你问题。

People always coming to you and ask you questions.

Speaker 1

就像是,你想要

It's like, you want

Speaker 0

仪式?

the ritual?

Speaker 0

仪式?

Ritual?

Speaker 0

仪式?

Ritual?

Speaker 0

你想要仪式?

You want ritual?

Speaker 0

打车?

Taxi?

Speaker 0

住宿?

Accommodation?

Speaker 0

安排住宿?

Accommodate?

Speaker 0

你知道,就像,哇哦。

You know, it's like, woah there.

Speaker 1

太过分了

Too much

Speaker 0

冷静点,伙计。

chill chill out, man.

Speaker 0

我以为果阿很悠闲,但这可一点也不悠闲。

I thought Goa was chilled out, but this isn't chilled out.

Speaker 0

这太疯狂了。

This is this is crazy.

Speaker 1

这不是你预想的那样,对吧?

It's not what you expect, is it?

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这和你预想的不一样。

It's not what you expect.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但是,你看,大家都有点...这么说可能不太好,但你会觉得每个人都想从你身上捞点钱什么的。

But, yeah, everyone's kind of I mean, it sounds a bit bad to say it, but you feel like everyone just wants to sort of kind of get your money or something.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我有时确实有点这种感觉。

I felt that a little bit at times.

Speaker 0

但你知道,基本上每个人都在向你提供服务,只是他们推销的方式非常、非常强硬。

But that, you know, everyone's offering a service to you basically, but they offer it very, very strongly.

Speaker 0

有点难以拒绝。

It's kind of difficult to say no.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

而且有些人其实非常讨厌这样,对吧?

And then some people really hate that actually, don't they?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们,你知道的,因为这个原因真的很不喜欢这种体验。

They, you know, really don't enjoy the experience because of that.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

可能有点吓人。

Can be a little bit scary.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实可能。

It can.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这确实有点奇怪。

Which is which is kind of kind of weird.

Speaker 1

我想这是因为我们在伦敦完全不习惯这种事,对吧?

Is this suppose it's because we're just completely not used to that sort of thing in in London, are we?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这不是我们的行事方式。

It's not how we do things.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

我是说,在伦敦,所有东西都有固定价格。

I mean, in in London, everything's got a set price.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你懂吧?

You know?

Speaker 0

如果你想打车,就去叫一辆出租车。

And you you go if you want a taxi, you go to a taxi and order one.

Speaker 0

而不是等出租车来找你。

You don't wait for the taxis to come to you.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但在印度,就像所有东西都会主动找上你。

But in India, it's just like everything comes to you.

Speaker 1

而且你得讨价还价,几乎每买一样东西都要这样,对吧?

And you have to haggle, don't you, a lot from pretty much everything you buy.

Speaker 1

你得先谈好要付多少钱之类的事

You have to negotiate what how much you're gonna pay and things

Speaker 0

像那样。

like that.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以你不能简单地说,好吧。

So you can't just say, okay.

Speaker 0

这个多少钱?

How much is it?

Speaker 0

因为他们会说,你开个价吧。

Because they'll they'll be like, you name me a price.

Speaker 1

你想你想给你一个非常优惠的价格。

You want you want to give you a very good price.

Speaker 1

你愿意付多少钱?

How much do you want to pay?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

有时候挺难的,对吧?

It's quite difficult, isn't it, sometimes?

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

你必须先出个价,然后

And you have to offer offer a price and

Speaker 0

然后如果你说不,他们就会说,拜托。

And then if you say no, then they go, please.

Speaker 0

为什么?

Why?

Speaker 0

为什么?

Why?

Speaker 0

为什么?

Why?

Speaker 0

什么都要问为什么。

Everything's why.

Speaker 0

他们还用那种痛苦的表情看着你,就像在说,但是,你知道的,但是为什么呢?

And they look at you with this painful expression of like, but, you know, but why?

Speaker 0

你懂吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以就连去购物都可能很麻烦。

So it's it can be difficult just to go shopping.

Speaker 1

确实。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

绝对是的。

Definitely.

Speaker 1

我想告诉你另一个我觉得印度不太好的地方,就是厕所,说实话我不太适应。

I'd tell you another thing I think is pretty bad about India, which I didn't enjoy, were the toilets, actually.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

厕所问题。

The toilets.

Speaker 0

我是说,你知道,有时候你会遇到西式厕所。

Mean, you know, sometimes you get a western style toilet.

Speaker 0

是吧?

Yeah?

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得这还好,但有些厕所确实不太一样。

And that's alright, I suppose, but some of the toilets are different.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

它们有点不一样。

They're slightly different.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,你会怎么描述它?

I mean, how would you describe it?

Speaker 1

我想人们可能称之为蹲坑。

We could I think people call them footsteps.

Speaker 0

蹲坑。

Footsteps.

Speaker 0

蹲坑。

Footsteps.

Speaker 1

好吧。

Okay.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

它基本上就是地上的一个洞,旁边有两个放脚的地方。

It's it's kind of just a hole in the ground with a couple of places to put your feet.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就这样。

And that's it.

Speaker 0

而且它们相当臭。

And they're pretty smelly.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那就是

That's that's the

Speaker 1

主要是那股气味,对。

main thing is the the smell of Yeah.

Speaker 1

是你的手机在响吗?

Is that your phone?

Speaker 1

不太干净。

Not very clean.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我想那是我的手机。

I think that's my phone.

Speaker 1

我不知道那是谁。

I don't know who that is.

Speaker 0

看到你的铃声了吗?

See your ringtone?

Speaker 0

本现在正在接听手机电话。

Ben's being called on his mobile phone at the moment.

Speaker 0

给你。

There you go.

Speaker 0

哦,你有一个未接电话。

Oh, it's oh, you got a missed call.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

未接来电。

Missed call.

Speaker 1

未接来电。

Missed call.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

嗯,是啊,厕所状况相当糟糕。

Well, yeah, the toilets are pretty bad.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

而且基本上,你在那里的恐惧感会非常强烈,因为周围总有人骚扰你。

And that and that basically, the fear that you have there, it can be quite scary because of all these people hassling you.

Speaker 0

但同时也会害怕,因为你担心自己会生病。

But also it can be scary because you're worried that you're gonna get sick.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

尤其是,你可能会有点肠胃不适。

Particularly, you sort of get an upset stomach Yeah.

Speaker 1

很明显,会频繁上厕所。

Going to the toilet a lot, obviously.

Speaker 1

你会

You get

Speaker 0

你会腹泻。

you get like diarrhea.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

或者像人们说的'旅行者腹泻'。

Or deli belly as people call it.

Speaker 0

熟食肚

Deli belly.

Speaker 0

没错

That's right.

Speaker 0

这是一种肠胃不适

It's a kind of bad stomach.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是啊。

And yeah.

Speaker 0

所以你会腹泻,可能还会呕吐之类的。

So you you get diarrhea and you might be throwing up or something.

Speaker 0

这很常见。

That's quite common.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

而且要频繁跑厕所。

And going to the toilet just a lot.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是那种,你知道的,你会想,哦,确实。

It's kind of you know, you think, oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

我不能用手碰我的嘴。

I can't touch my I can't touch my mouth with my with my hands.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

我甚至不能随便碰嘴唇什么的,因为这样就足以让人生病。

I can't, like, just touch my lip or something because that's enough to just get sick.

Speaker 1

懂我意思吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

而且你喝的水也得小心。

And you have to be careful with the water that you drink.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是这样。

That's it.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

水质问题。

The water.

Speaker 0

这真的让人很疑神疑鬼。

It makes you really paranoid.

Speaker 1

确实。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你得是啊。

You have to be yeah.

Speaker 1

你会想,天哪。

You're like, oh my god.

Speaker 1

我希望我希望我

I hope I hope I

Speaker 0

希望我不会生病。

hope I'm not gonna get sick.

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

那个杯子是用自来水还是矿泉水洗的?

Was that glass washed in in tap water or in mineral water?

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

如果是自来水,我可不会喝。

If that's tap water, I'm not gonna drink it.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

这件事你一直很在意,对吧?

It's it's really on your mind a lot, isn't it?

Speaker 0

就像,如果我点一个汉堡,里面的沙拉会不会是用自来水洗的?

It's like, oh, if I if I order a hamburger, will will that will the salad be washed in in tap water?

Speaker 0

因为如果真是这样,你知道的,我肯定会生病。

Because if I do, you know, I'm gonna get sick.

Speaker 0

就像,哇,我可乐里的冰块呢?

And it's like, woah, was the ice in my Coca Cola?

Speaker 0

那是

Was that

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得冰块总是个大问题。

Ice is always a big worry, I think.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果你

If you

Speaker 0

饮料里有冰块,

have ice in your drink,

Speaker 1

那可能会让你生病

that that can that can make you ill

Speaker 0

因为细菌仍然存在于水和冰块中。

because the the bacteria is still in the water and the ice.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

不过,是啊,我想还有其他健康问题,就在那里。

But, yeah, there's other health issues, I suppose, well as in there.

Speaker 1

比如疟疾就是其中之一,我...嗯。

It's like malaria was one that I Yeah.

Speaker 1

记得。

Remember.

Speaker 1

我当时必须服用疟疾药片。

I had to take malaria tablets.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我那时

I had

Speaker 0

得服用疟疾药片。

to take malaria tablets.

Speaker 1

你总是疑神疑鬼,担心被蚊子叮咬。

You're still often paranoid about the mosquitoes getting bitten a lot.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你非常害怕蚊子。

You're very scared of the mosquitoes.

Speaker 0

到了晚上你就变得像被追捕的猎物一样,对吧?

You become a sort of like a hunted animal, don't you, at night?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

蚊子就会来叮咬你。

And just the mosquitoes come and get you.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你还得点上蚊香,涂上驱蚊膏或者喷驱蚊喷雾,

And you have to put out your mosquito coil and put the put the cream on or the spray,

Speaker 0

不管你有什么。

whatever you have.

Speaker 0

那是

That's

Speaker 1

没错。

right.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

把蚊帐围在你的腿周围。

Put your mosquito nets up around your legs.

Speaker 0

我记得,就像今年早些时候住那儿时,因为听到蚊子嗡嗡声而在蚊帐里醒来

I I remember, like, when I was staying earlier this year, just waking up in my mosquito net because I could hear a mosquito going

Speaker 1

像那样。

like that.

Speaker 1

当你试图入睡时,这简直太可怕了。

It's horrible when you're trying to sleep.

Speaker 0

我当时就想,天啊。

And I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 0

我的蚊帐里有只蚊子,你知道的。

There's a mosquito in my net, you know.

Speaker 0

我不得不把它找出来打死才能继续睡觉,因为我觉得如果放任不管,它整晚都会叮我。

And I had to hunt it down and kill it before I could go back to sleep because I thought if that, you know, that could just bite me all night long.

Speaker 0

就让它喝个够吧。

Just get some good drinking.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你懂的。

You know.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得它必须死。

And so I thought it has to die.
