It's actually I had a really crazy busy day yesterday, and so today's, like, a little more chill, but, it's been good.

And so, I'm packing the house and all that stuff and then preparing, you know, for the Grammys.

So what do you do to prepare for the Grammys?

You know, for me, I'm doing, I mean, there's different levels of preparation.

So a, it's like health and beauty.

So I'm working out a little extra hard.

I am doing right now this, like, ten day reset.

And there's no time to look at notes, so you kinda have to have it memorized.

So I start weeks in advance.

I have to tell you that that feels to me like the hardest thing.

As an interviewer, for me, time is the worst constraint.

Granted, this is my thing.

And I'm like, even one hour to me is, like, very restrictive, and I feel nervous that I'm not gonna be able to get into everything or at least get into the things that will really make it a good conversation.

I think you just get used to it, I I mean, in that form, and that's kind of why, being an entertainment journalist for so long, I branched out and started the Lady Ang podcast because like you, I'm a talker.

I love a long form conversation.

And so when we have celebrities on Lady Gang, we can sit with them for half an hour, maybe forty five minutes, and kind of get dig in a little more and have more of a conversation.

I feel like red carpet reporting is a little more asking the question and getting the answer than it is a back and forth conversation.

It's a back and forth exchange of energy, but I don't know that it's always like a full conversation because a lot of times if you do get two, three, five questions in a press junket interview or red carpet, you really wanna get to your questions.

You know, there's not really enough room for conversation.

So I think that's actually why podcasting has become so popular and so incredible because I think that we are missing that human connection right now, and there's something so wonderful about hearing people, a group of people, two people have, like, a really in-depth wonderful conversation.

It's like the dinner parties you can't attend at the moment.

The So you come up with your questions, I guess, ahead of time, and you try to come up with questions that are different than the ones that people would normally ask, or, like, what's your approach?

Well, I think I think that I come to pop culture in general as a fan first.

And so I always try to think about, you know, I think that probably some journalists and some people that do interviews are trying to think of, like, what's the click most clickbait thing that I can possibly ask about, or what's the hot topic, like the divorce, the blah blah blah blah blah.

For me, I feel like the true fans don't really care about that stuff.

I wanna learn something about this star that I didn't know before that has nothing to do with what's in the papers or in the gossip columns.

Like, I love finding out these more off the cuff kind of odd things.

Like, when he gets an email, like, what triggers him to you know, like, I like to get a little bit more deep.

The insecurities, wait because it's what makes them interesting and human.

So I totally get that.

And I think it's a big challenge, I imagine, for you to do it in such a short period of time.

And I will say that, you know, for me and the relationships I have with celebrities, I think that I am someone that people trust from the managers to the publicist to the actual stars.

And so if I see them on a red carpet and I only get one or two, three questions, five minutes, three minutes, thirty seconds, I know that they're gonna give me a little more time the next time around.

And so those are my favorite kinds of interviews.

And I also love doing a craft.

Like, I remember when Holly Madison was pregnant with her first child, she let me come over and, like, paper mache her belly, and then we painted it.

And, like, for me, that was the most fun kind of interview because you're just, you know, shooting and talking and crafting.

It's a totally different kind of vibe, and I think things do come out more normally that way too.

I I think the hardest thing for me wanting this Hollywood life is I grew up in Canada, and I was from this pretty small hamlet, and I just idolized Hollywood.

I always wanted to end up in show business somehow.

And the people that you idolize, they're up on these platforms.

And then I got to Hollywood, and I started working with them and started interviewing them, and I realized that they were just kind of normal people.

But it was really frustrating to me because I would see certain stars and certain people in their real life, and then I would see the airbrush perfection that they put out to the world.

And I felt like there is this really odd well, there was.

And so for me, I just can't help myself.

I'm, like, honest to the core.

Like, once a year, I'm like, could you please put something for your 200 followers that are mostly our friends and family about me on my birthday?

And, like, every third year, he will.

Like, he's just not of the world in that way.

There's often oftentimes we're at the Grammys and that our worlds are colliding, and the photographers on the red carpet would be like, Kelsey, get your husband.

所以现在网上大概有三张我们在红毯上的照片，比如Getty Images上那些全世界都能看到的照片。他其实挺配合的——还来过几次我的播客，只要我开口他就会答应，但我懂得分寸。
So there are, like, three red carpet photos of us out there, like, on Getty Images, for the world, and he's he's fine to like, he came on the podcast a couple times because I asked him, like, if I ask him, but I know the ask.
我明白要尊重他作为普通人的边界。
Like, I know to respect his boundaries as a human being.
他不想每天出现在我的Instagram上。
He doesn't wanna be on my Instagram every day.
他不希望所有人都知道他几点到家之类的琐事。
He doesn't wanna have every person knowing at what time he's arriving home and blah blah blah.
确实有些人靠分享这些生活细节获利，慢慢就变成了公众眼中的模范夫妻。
And there's some people that, you know, profit off that and do that, and they're, like, kind of become this public couple.
