If you want wealth in your life, you have to know what it is.

Wealth is having more than enough by definition.

More than enough abundance of everything that is vital to your survival.
财富并不依赖于单一事物——不是银行账户的限额、不是一辆车、一栋房子、一份工作、一段感情，也不是你的收入。
Wealth is not dependent upon one thing, the limit of a bank account, a car, a house, a job, a relationship, your income.

It's having more than enough of everything that you want and need.

It's abundance and affluence.

Wealth is different than rich and certainly different than the millionaire next door.

An obsession with worrying is not the kind of obsession that I'm encouraging in my book, Be Obsessed or Be Average.

Make the list as exhaustive as you can.

这是要付出代价的。
It cost you something.
要么耗费时间，要么耗费精力，要么耗费资源，或者三者兼而有之。
It either cost time, it cost energy, it cost resources or it cost all three.

What you'll quickly see is that every day your life is made up of cost.
有句老话你可能听过：别为小事烦恼，其实所有事都是小事。
There's an old saying that you might have heard before, don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff.

Well that saying could be don't sweat the cost and by the way it's all cost because if you're constantly nitpicking and second guessing cost and measuring the cost of everything you're second guessing your whole life.

Look worrying comes naturally to most people.

I get it.

But you should welcome the cost.

You should want more cost not less cost.

Look, even if the millionaire next door worked for me, you'd still be millionaires staying in a Holiday Inn, and I know plenty of them.

Misers.

How many of you know a rich uncle that is a miser that won't pay for anything?

You go to dinner with him and there's 12 people and everybody's gotta throw a credit card in there and he could buy this meal a thousand times.

Meanwhile, being truly wealthy would allow you to stay wherever you want when you want and not worry about how much you're spending.

I don't wanna slowly and gradually spend time and energy saving small amounts of money.

That is not the way to wealth.

This is where the millionaire next door doesn't work and failed so many people because the target was wrong.

You have to shift your mindset on the target.

Now why ask for the view from someone only halfway to wealth creation?

The millionaire is not the right position to give advice.

A person with a million dollars, even though that might sound unbelievable to you, trust me, a person with a million dollars in net worth is not financially secure.

They're one emergency away from being broke again.

Too many people take one of two attitudes toward growing wealth.

They believe that becoming wealthy is for the lucky sperm club, business owner, gold diggers, lottery winners, athletes, rappers or tech innovators.

Both of these are symptoms of the same problem, thinking too small and studying the wrong people and setting the wrong target.

Look I used to think too small before emancipating myself of this middle class trap.

She chose the worry mode of wealth building and paid the price and never ever had the wealth.

In fact, just to debunk one of the myths, I'll tell you that four out of five millionaires today work for someone else.

It doesn't matter who you are.

Look, was broke when I was 25.

I hated my job, I had no brand, nobody believed in me, I didn't believe in myself, I had no dad, no money, no name, no skills but I knew I wanted to be rich.

The millionaire next door route didn't make sense to me because I knew it wouldn't make me rich.

I'd done the math.

25 years old and you get a million dollars, you got to live fifty years on a million dollars that's what $20,000 a year, $1,800 a month, you can't live like that.
