Committing it to the God that we know, who loves us and has promised that he'll be with us every step of the way.

And as we get the podcast started today, pastor Schibeli, I was just thinking that today is the future.

Yeah.

It used to be something that was coming, but here we are today.

And can't we look back and say that God has been faithful?

God has been faithful.

Absolutely.

And I I think when we think about giving God everything, I'd like to start off, with the premise, and it's really, something very key.

It's like, has not God given us everything?

In other words, where does this all begin?
有时候，我会听到有人讲道或教导说：‘你应该把一切交给上帝。’
Sometimes I could hear somebody preaching or teaching or saying, You should give God everything.
但他们忽略了恩典所强调的方面：上帝已经赐给我们一切。
But they neglect the aspect that grace would say, God gave us everything.
祂赐下了祂的独生子。
He gave His one and only Son.
好的。
Okay.
还能做什么呢？
What more can be done?
罗马书第八章第三十二节。
Romans chapter eight verse 32.
神既不爱惜自己的儿子，为我们众人舍了，岂不也把万物和他一同白白地赐给我们吗？
He that spared not his only son, will he not with him also freely give us all things.
所以，如果神赐下了儿子，就是那独特的、唯一的儿子，那么除此之外还有什么？
So if God gave a son, the unique son, excuse me, the one and only son, then what what else?
有什么能和这个相比呢？
What what can we compare with that?
你拿什么来和这个相比呢？
How what do you compare with that?
所以，这就是我的看法。
So this is how I see it.
他给了我一切。
He's given me everything.
他给了我们一切。
He's given us everything.
他给了教会一切。
He's given the church everything.
所以，把一切献给神，必须以神首先为我们所做的一切为基础。
So giving God everything would have to start with the basis of what first God has done for us.
对我来说，这是关键。
To me, that's key.
因为如果反过来，我可能会为了得到什么而给予神，而不是因为神赐予了他自己和他所做的一切。
Because the other way around, it could be I'm giving God to get something rather than God giving me who he is and what he's done.

And he looking to get something in all reality?

No.

We do respond, of course, but he's doing it even to people that reject him, even to people that would persecute him, whatnot.

So giving God everything based upon God having given us his all, given us his all.

Is this is really understanding of grace.

You know?

And I think that's what the enemy attacks the most today in Christianity is the grace of God.
上帝的位格、已完成的工作以及上帝的恩典，攻击始终存在。
The person of God, the finished work, and the grace of God, the attack is is always on.
我从不把攻击当作个人恩怨。
And I never take attacks personal.
你知道，人们可以攻击我。
You know, people can attack me.

They can say what they want.

And I'm really to be very honest with you, it's like water off a duck's back.

I don't really care because I know they wouldn't be attacking me if I was unsaved.

If I was unsaved, I wouldn't be being attacked.

But because we are saved and we are sinners saved by grace, yes, we make mistakes.
是的，我们会失败，但神却拣选了我们，以不可思议的方式使用我们。
Yes, we fail, But yet God has chosen to use us in an incredible way.

Look at Peter's denial, but God didn't say, it's over now.

I'm cutting you loose, and I'm looking for somebody else.
你知道吗？
You know?

So he's given us everything.

Yes.

He has.

And then, of course, when you know, for instance, Ephesians chapter one verse three, God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

As you said, it's the initiation of God first.

Yes.

Again, you know, God's not saying, listen, I'll give you everything if you give me No.

And say, you know, we have to have an equal ground here, you know.

If I give everything, you better give everything.

No, that's not the way God operates.

God gives us everything.

And then because that kind of grace and that kind of love wins our hearts, we want to, as it says in the book of Romans, the twelfth chapter, we want to present our bodies as a living sacrifice.

We wanna present our minds so that our thinking can be transformed and changed.
我们希望献上我们的时间、才能、恩赐和能力，无论是什么。
We wanna just present our time, our talents, our gifts, our abilities, whatever it might be.

But that's all because grace initiated to our hearts first.

And that's the key.

The initiation of God.

And it's all backwards.

Religion is you do, and then you get.

Yes.

And Christianity is you receive, and then you do.

Yeah.

I mean, acts one seven and eight, you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be what witnesses.

So first of all, you receive and then you become you become a witness, you know.
一切都始于领受。
It all begins with receiving.

Like, what did you do before you were born?

Not a whole lot, you know.

Well, nothing was going on.

So here comes the gift of life and then somebody can proceed forward with their human life and doing all that they would do.

So to give and then to do, not to do and then to give.

See, the do to get is religion.

Yeah.
但先领受、再行动，才是基督教，是恩典。
But the receiving and then doing is Christianity, is grace.

And they knew nothing about grace.

That's why they attacked the God of all grace.

Out of his fullness, we have received grace upon grace.

And so they're gonna attack the man of the man, the God man who is giving grace to people.

You know?

That's where the attack comes in.

Satan tried to be like the most high.

Isn't that what religion does?

Tries to be like God without God.

Christianity is receiving and then being.

You know, it's it's interesting because we we live in a culture today where fear abounds.

Some people struggle with fear throughout the course of their lives.

I I read the testimony of one such person that says that when I was a child, I was always afraid that something was gonna happen to my family.
到了青春期，我害怕自己在运动上不够出色、学业上不够聪明，或者不够受欢迎。
And then when I was a teenager, I was afraid I wouldn't be good enough at sports or smart enough in school or liked enough to be popular.
上大学时，我担心自己选错了专业，可能结不了婚，找不到好工作，甚至能不能通过课程都成问题。
And during college, I was afraid that I was choosing the wrong major, might not end up married or might not get a good job, whether I was, you know, could I even pass my classes?

And then, you know, this woman said, as a mother, I lived in fear about my children's futures, afraid that something might something bad might happen to my kids or something might bad happened to me and that I wouldn't be able to take care of them.

You get the picture with her story that fear was dominating every phase of her life.

And that's not how God wants us to approach As know, second Timothy one:seven says, He's not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.

That's what God gives us.

So, as we look at an unknown future, could we become occupied with all of the fears that might be there when we arrive?

Sure, we could.

But that's no

Fear.

Yes.

Anxiety, doubt, human reason.

Four things that Jesus addressed in Matthew six, Matthew eight, Matthew 14 and Matthew 16.

Every time he said, oh, of little faith, he was addressing anxiety, fear, then doubt, then human reason.

And I like how he says that when he says, oh, you of little faith, it's not like this chastisement, the voice that's used there, you know, oh, you have little faith, you know.

It was like, oh, this is how it actually reads in the Greek language.
你们对我信心何等小啊。
Oh, how little faith you have in me.
难道你不信我吗？
Don't you just trust me?
你难道不能信我吗？
Can't you just trust me?

You know.
恐惧使人逃避，但爱却吸引我们靠近。
So fear puts us to flight, but love draws us near.
所以完全的爱能做什么？
So that's why perfect love does what?

And love is given because He's the God of all grace.

And love is an attribute of God, a characteristic of God.

God is love.

And that's great.

But if love isn't given to me, what does love do for me?
如果神从未赐下爱呢？
What if God never gave love?
祂是爱，却从未赐予我们。
He is love, but he never gave us.

You know, that's that's that's actually ridiculous, you know, but you think about it.
神是爱，祂爱我。
God is love and he loves me.

That's grace.

The second part is grace.

This is who he is, and this is what he does.

Oh, I love that.

And isn't God in the process of teaching us how to trust Him?

I mean, any one of us, when we think of the future, I mean, we could just in our imagination, think of all the potential problems.

I mean, a person that's moving on in life and getting older, they could think about all that could be involved with that.
你知道，我会拥有足够的资源来生存吗？
You know, will I have enough resources to survive?

If I retire, will I be able to pay my bills?
我到75岁或80岁的时候，还得出去找工作吗？
Will I have to go out and get a job at the age of 75 or 80 years old?
我的意思是，生活中可能有太多恐惧会主导我们的思绪。
I mean, there's just so many potential fears that could dominate our lives.
但神现在想教我们的，只有两个字。
But yet, now what God wants to teach us is just two words.
信靠我。
Trust me.
信靠我。
Trust me.
理查德·沃姆布兰特说，圣经里有366次提到‘不要惧怕’。
Richard Wormbrandt said that there was a, don't fear, 366 times in the Bible.
是的。
Yes.
每一天一次，再加上闰年那天。
One for every day plus leap year.
我从未数过，因为这个词并不总是‘恐惧’，也可能用的是其他英文词，比如恐惧、害怕之类的。
I've never counted them because the word is not always the word fear, but it could be another English word that's used, fear, afraid, whatever.

But God doesn't want us to live in fear.

So that that is the whole thing that the enemy wants us to do.

You know?

He he would even maybe think, well, I I won't I won't be able to get them to change from serving God and walking with God, but I can put them in a place where they're living in fear by every step they take in life, Every step they take in life.

Some people will not drive a car.

Why?

They fear.
他们害怕高速公路。
They fear the highways.
我能理解为什么有时候他们会害怕高速公路。
And I can understand why sometimes, you know, they fear the highways.
他们害怕交通事故。
They fear accidents.
他们害怕驾驶着几吨重的金属物体在路上行驶，担心会发生什么。
They fear driving some a few thousand pound piece of metal down the road and wondering what's gonna take place.
但恐惧会使人瘫痪。
But fear can cripple people.
恐惧，尤其是在基督徒生活中与神同行时，会使人瘫痪。
Fear can especially when it comes to walking with God in the Christian life, fear can cripple people.
你知道那个男人的妻子说她不去非洲，因为她害怕蛇的故事吗？
You know, the story about the man's wife who said she wouldn't go to Africa because she was afraid of snakes.

And the fact is that there's snakes in Florida too, you know, and that didn't work out so well.

I'm not gonna talk about the results of that, but, you know, fear has kept people from the mission field.

Fear has kept people from going to Bible school.

Fear has kept people from coming to church at all.
恐惧让人回避了当今基督教中许多相关的事情。
Fear has kept people from all kinds of things that are relevant in Christianity today.

And they, and they, they run away from it.

And by the way, there's a lot of people that do it in a sophisticated way.

They run away from God by being so busy with this life.

You know, they're so busy with this life and making a living and being a provision.

But really some of that comes out of fear.

The fear of actually walking with God and trusting God.

Imagine Jesus walking up to the rich young, I call him the rich young religious ruler, and saying, by the way, sell all that you have and give it to the poor.

In other words, don't give it to me because you might want something back from me, but give it to the poor that can't pay you back.

And I'm not saying that any of us wouldn't be afraid to do that, but I'm saying God draws near.

God wants us to live outside of fear.

He doesn't want us to live in fear because it will cripple.

It will cripple the mind, the emotions, the will, the conscience, the self consciousness, and I won't be able to go forward.

Fear.

I think God is so good to us because He doesn't show us what's in the future.

Could you imagine?

I don't think any of us would take another step forward in life if He showed us what's in the future.

Yeah.

Somebody said, you know, when you're talking about just dealing with daily life, they said that, you know, life by the yard is hard, but life by the inch is a cinch.

Doesn't God give us enough light to walk or in the next step that He's put before us?

I mean, if we run ahead of what God in His provision has promised us, wouldn't be anxious?

What am I going to do when I'm 65?

Who says you're going get to be 65?

Exactly.

I mean, come on, We don't, we don't know.
我喜欢这句话：我不知道未来会怎样，但我知道是谁掌管着未来。
I like this statement that was made like, I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future.
就是上帝自己。
It's God Himself.

I don't know what's going to happen.

We have no idea what could take place any day, you know, with the kind of threats that we have on this globe today, all kinds of things can go on, you know?

Yeah.

And and so in our own personal lives, when it comes to your health, when it comes to finances, when it comes to relationships, am I gonna live in fear?

And if I live in fear, I never enter into any of those things.

There's a lot of people that don't get married because they're afraid.

Yeah.

Yeah.

That's right.

Somebody used say that a person is very selfish.

They just wanna live for themselves and have nothing to do with having a husband or a wife and then having children.

You know?

That's that's too much.

I fear that.
为什么？
Why?

You fear that because you're thinking about all the provisions and all the things that will have to take place and all that you'll have to do.

So you you are actually really afraid of that.

A lot of fear.

I used to think about fear of flying, and then I realized I've flown over 900 times now.

And thank God.

And I think I had a little bit of fear about that plane trip, but it ended up okay.

You know, here he is out in the fields taking care of his father's sheep.

And imagine if God came to him and said, David, I'm gonna promote you.

I'm gonna take you off the fields of, you know, watching over flocks and I'm gonna I'm gonna bring you down to the valley where the battle is raging between the Philistines and that my, you know, my people, the children of Israel.

You're gonna step up because Goliath is gonna come forth on a daily basis.

He's gonna challenge the children of Israel.

I can imagine David thinking, that is wonderful.

But then God would say, and after that, you're gonna be running through the countryside because Saul wants to kill you.

You'll be hiding out, you know, in caves, and you'll be, forsaken by the very king of Israel, king Saul, and he will attempt to kill you.

And, of course, the platoon leader, he went over to that soldier and he said, young man, he said, you have made our nation proud.

And the kid looked at him and said, I don't know why I can't even take three steps forward.

Point being is that even he was exhausted, so exhausted, he couldn't even take those three next steps.

The point for us is this.

Even when we're at that point, even when we are worn out, can't take another step, can't process another thought, God will carry us.

He'll be with us.

Absolutely.

He remains faithful.

God's my my end could be God's beginning.

Yes.

That's why

I'm at my end.

It's it's begin to trust God.

I remember thirty years ago, I went to see a doctor after I came back from Uganda, and he said, You should never travel again.

You know, between typhoid fever, malaria, all these diseases in Africa, you shouldn't travel again.
我说，真的吗？
I said, really?

And I listened for a moment, you know, but I just got rid of that thought really quick.
后来我才知道，他自己也没再活一年。
And I found out later that he didn't live another year himself.

You know, he should have been thinking about himself.

He's thinking about me and all that.

So how interesting that was, you know?

God will take care of us.

There are times when things will slow down, seemingly come to a stop, but God says, just keep looking out the window.

Don't get occupied with the rearview mirror of your life.

And think about it.
那后视镜的大小，和前挡风玻璃相比如何？
Isn't that rearview mirror, the size of it compared to the windshield?
并不大。
Not very big.
没错。
No.
原因在于，上帝希望我们向前看，同时在向前看的时候信靠他。
And the reason why is because God wants us to look ahead, but trust him as we look ahead.
也许我们必须缓慢前行。
Maybe we have to move slowly.
也许我们无法像希望的那样加速。
Maybe we can't accelerate the way we would like.
但上帝说，你知道的，以码为单位的生活很艰难。
But God says, just, you know, life by the yard is hard.
是的。
Yeah.
以英寸为单位的生活则轻而易举。
Life by the inch is a cinch.
希伯来书第11章全部讲完之后，他说：仰望为我们信心创始成终的耶稣。
After all of Hebrews 11 took place, he says, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith.

Lots of things potentially can come against all of us as believers.

But again, I just keep reverting back when I think of an uncertain future to a God who says, listen, I'm never leaving you.

I'm never gonna forsake you.

I'm never gonna turn my back on you.

Even when you're faithless, Paul wrote to Timothy, God is going to remain faithful.

Faithful is he who calls you, who will do it.

Even the disciples, I mean, Jesus was speaking to them knowing they were gonna run for it.

So yes, fears will come, but God is love.

I think in first John chapter four verses seven through first John five three or four, it mentions the word agape 29 times.

So I'm giving to him that which I mean, God has the perfect plan.
