I guess we could begin by saying, you know, the Bible makes it very clear that Christ himself is our wisdom.

So we're at a good place if we have a relationship with Christ and if our listeners are tuning in to the podcast today and they have a relationship with Christ, he is the wisdom of God.

It says it so clearly in first Corinthians one that he has made that's so beautiful at the end of first Corinthians one, but God has made Jesus Christ to become wisdom for us.

But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus.

Like, let's stop right there.

Of God, we have been placed in Christ Jesus.

Every member of every church that's born again is in Christ.

And that's where wisdom starts.

That's where administration in a church and relationships in a church start is that, why am I in Christ?

Because God put me there.

Every member of the body of Christ has been placed there by Christ.

He has become our wisdom.

And in other words, let's not look for wisdom outside of Jesus Christ.

Let's not do what James alluded to in James three so well on the two types of wisdom, wisdom from below and wisdom from above.

Just to kind of start us off.

James three verse 13.

你们中间谁是有智慧、有见识的呢？

Who is wise and understanding among you?

Good question.

Who are the wise people in the church?

教会中谁是有见识的人？

Who are the understanding people in the church?

让他用良好的行为来显明。

Let him show by good conduct.

它首先没有说通过好的言语。

Doesn't say by good words first.

而是说，让他以良好的行为表明他的作为是在智慧的温顺中完成的。

It says, Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

美丽的短语，智慧的温顺。

Beautiful phrase, the meekness of wisdom.

智慧是温顺的。

Wisdom is meek.

智慧首先以谦卑的方式运作，而非骄傲，并非‘我比你更懂’。

Wisdom operates first in meekness, not in pride, not in I know better than you know.

我们有时认为，一个人仅仅因为受过教育、拥有学位、知识渊博就是智慧的，但上帝并不这么认为。

We sometimes think that just because a man has got an education and because he's got a degree and he knows a lot that he is wise, but that's not what God says.

他说，智慧的证明在于谦卑。

He says the evidence of wisdom is meekness.

但你们心中若存着苦毒的嫉妒和自私的野心，就不可自夸，也不可说谎抵挡真理。

But if you have bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.

这种智慧不是从上头来的，而是属地的、属情欲的。

This wisdom does not descend from above but is earthly, sensual.

属情欲是什么意思？

What's sensual mean?

它指的是根据我的感官，我的感受、我眼睛所见、我耳朵所听，这就是属情欲的。

It's it's according to my senses, how I feel, what I see with my eyes, what I hear, that's sensual.

And then demonic.

Well, we know that Satan, his full time job is to accuse the brethren.

但哪里有嫉妒和自私，哪里就有混乱和各样邪恶的事。

But where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

有多少教会因为对在哪里挂国旗、地毯该用什么颜色、或者停车位的分配等问题而分裂？

How many churches have been split because of confusion over where to put the flag or what color the carpet is or, you know, parking spots, parking space?

我的意思是，有些人按世人的标准看起来相当聪明，却因缺乏智慧的温柔而陷入不可思议的混乱。

I mean, unbelievable confusion from people that, according to worldly standards, seem pretty wise, but they're not operating in the meekness of wisdom.

经文第17节说，但从上头来的智慧。

And then it says this in verse 17, but the wisdom that is from above.

这不正是我们所渴望的吗？

Oh, isn't that what we want?

我们难道不想要来自天上的智慧吗？

Don't we want the wisdom from heaven?

从上头来的智慧首先是——我特别喜欢它说的‘第一，清洁的’。

The wisdom that is from above is first, and I love what it says first, pure.

‘清洁’是什么意思？

What's what's that mean pure?

意思是毫无掺杂。

It means no admixture.

没有任何东西被添加到其中。

It's not there's nothing added to it.

It's pure.

上帝的每一句话都是纯净的。

Every word of God is pure.

It's pure.

There's no ulterior motives in the wisdom from above.

It's pure.

Then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, Willing to yield.

Isn't that beautiful?

Willing to yield.

Not I'm right and you're wrong and that's the way it is, but willing to yield.

充满怜悯。

Full of mercy.

Full of mercy.

Full of mercy and good fruits without partiality.

What's that mean?

Well, I'm partial to this person.

I'm partial to this person in the church.

I like this pastor better than that pastor.

我更喜欢这位诗歌带领者而不是那位诗歌带领者。

I like this song leader better than this song leader.

偏袒。

Partiality.

并且没有虚伪。

And without hypocrisy.

对吧？

Right?

虚伪是什么意思？

What is hypocrisy?

是装模作样。

It's pretensions.

是假装。

It's pretending.

是假装成你不是的样子。

It's pretending to be something you're not.

义果是通过使人和平的人，在和平中撒下的。

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

What a great definition of of wisdom, pastor.

know, you asked the question as you started that reading that passage, who is wise among you.

Paul, when he wrote to the Corinthians, asked that same question.

He says, where is the wise?

Where is the scribe?

这世上的辩士在哪里？

Where is the disputer of this world?

神岂不是叫这世上的智慧变成愚拙了吗？

Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

因此，在你所读的雅各书的描述中，保罗也赞同雅各所说的一切，指出有两种智慧。

So in the description that you read from the epistle of James, And Paul is he's concurring everything that James said and saying there are two kinds of wisdom.

一种是这世界的智慧，另一种则是从上头来的智慧。

There's a wisdom of this world, and then there is a wisdom, that comes from above.

当然，每个信徒都必须问：我该如何获得这种智慧呢？

And, of course, every believer must be asking, you know, well, how do I get this wisdom?

在雅各书第一章第五节中也提到：你们中间若有缺少智慧的，就当求。

And in that same epistle to James, the first chapter, the fifth verse, well, if you lack wisdom, ask.

只是一个简单的三个字母的词。

Just a simple three letter word.

求。

Ask.

向永生的神祈求，他必赐给你。

Ask of the living God, and he will give it to you.

他必不拒绝。

And he will not withhold it.

他不会扣留它。

He will not hold it back.

You will not see whether or not you're worthy to receive wisdom or if you've passed a certain test in order to be the recipient of wisdom.

Have you met the criteria in order to receive it?

No.

It just simply comes down to asking.

If you lack it, if you need it, ask, and God will give it to you.

Boy, that's beautiful.

And Paul goes on to say in first Corinthians chapter one, he said, the Jews, they require a sign.

The Greeks, they seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified unto the Jews a stumbling block.

Unto the Greeks, that's foolishness.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God.

Christ, the wisdom of God.

And wow.

The next verse says, you know, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God stronger than men.

他说：弟兄们，你们要看看自己的蒙召。

He says, look at your calling, brothers.

Mhmm.

按肉体来说，蒙召的智慧人不多，有能力的不多，尊贵的也不多；但神却拣选了世上的愚拙人，叫有智慧的羞愧；又拣选了世上的软弱人，叫那强壮的羞愧；神也拣选了世上的卑贱物和被人藐视的。

Not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble that are called, but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty, the base things of the world which are despised.

是的。

Yea.

神拣选了那不存在的，要废掉那存在的，使一切有血气的在神面前都不能自夸。

These God has chosen, the things which are not to bring to naught the things that are, that no flesh would glory in his presence.

哇。

Wow.

这就是神的智慧。

That's God's wisdom.

does not sound like anything that comes from the world.

In other words, you take a sinful person and say, build God's church.

Well, he'll look for the wisdom in those that he seeks to build his church with.

He'll look for the noble.

He'll look for the mighty.

Not God.

God's wisdom stands in such stark contrast to the wisdom of this world.

作为信徒，当我们接受基督作为我们的救主时，我们在基督里就成为了上帝的智慧。

And then as believers, having received Christ as our savior, we, in Christ, become the wisdom of God.

Beautiful.

是啊。

Yeah.

这就是教会。

That's the church.

You know, I love what you said.

我们都缺乏智慧。

We all lack wisdom.

Yes.

It's not if anyone, we all lack.

Yes.

We all lack wisdom.

And what does that mean?

We lack the ability to apply what we know.

Like it's one thing to know about the love of God, to know one Corinthians 13, to know about mercy.

But how about, okay, Lord, show me how to apply it in my marriage.

Show me how to apply it with my brother sitting across the table from me.

求你指示我，如何对待教会里坐在后排的那个人，也许我们过去曾因金钱或某些观点发生过分歧。

From the person in the church that's in the back, that maybe we've had a disagreement in the past, maybe over money, maybe over just certain opinions.

主啊，求你指示我，如何与我的弟兄和好，因为这才是真正教会生活的核心。

Lord, show me how I can just reconcile with my brother because really that's church life.

教会生活始于耶稣基督，源于智慧的温柔。

Church life begins with Jesus Christ, and it's the meekness of wisdom.

他不是在马太福音十一章二十九节说：‘你们当学我的样式，我是谁？’

Didn't he say in Matthew eleven twenty nine, Learn of me, for I am what?

温柔谦卑。

Meek and lowly.

我心里柔和谦卑。

I am meek and lowly of heart.

是的。

Yeah.

你们必得享安息。

And you will find rest to your souls.

这就是建造教会的方式。

This is what builds a church.

这就是建立坚固团契的方式。

This is what builds a strong fellowship.

And I we were speaking earlier that a perfect example of that was the way Paul dealt with the church in Corinth.

Yes.

We're speaking we're looking at the the first epistle to the Corinthians.

Well, what kind of a church was it, pastor Lowe?

Dysfunctional.

It was a dysfunctional church.

Yeah.

Probably the most dysfunctional in the New Testament.

Yeah.

What are some of the things that were going on in that church?

They were practicing partiality.

They were tolerating sin to such a degree that Paul said it wasn't even mentioned among unbelievers.

They were bringing each other to court to have their disputes settled before unsaved magistrates.

Again, celebrity appearances and taking polls on who they thought was the best person to listen to in their church.

That all of that to say that doesn't even touch the the whole argument of the tongues and the gifts that were being practiced or, you know, being exercised in a a manner which God was not being glorified and people were not being encouraged and built up by those gifts.

Let's let's read what he says and how he opens up his letter.

This is the kind of letter I would wanna get if I was in trouble.

他说：保罗蒙召作耶稣基督的使徒，是靠着神的旨意，还有弟兄所司提反，写信给在哥林多的神的教会，就是那些在基督耶稣里被分别为圣、蒙召作圣徒的人。

He says, Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God and Sosthenes, our brother, to the church of God, which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, called holy.

这就是我们所被称呼的——圣洁。

That's what we're called, holy.

你是说那个我不喜欢的、在教会里的那个人？

You mean that guy that I don't like that's in the church?

Yeah, he's holy.

You know, that guy is holy.

Yeah, he's called saint.

You could almost stop the apostle right at that second verse and said, wait a minute.

I I would not concur with you.

I would not call these people saints.

After we Call them sinners.

Call them sinners.

Call them problems.

And and think about where they're where they came from.

Pastor Love, they were heathen before they got they were in a heathen city.

They were idol worshipers.

They were immoral, temple prostitution.

I mean, you name it.

And they they again, they were into philosophy.

Their their favorite philosopher would speak at the gathering, you know?

So all these things that Paul was addressing, you know, there was so much baggage that came with the people in his church.

But how did he do?

He says, called to be called holy with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.

What was he saying?

He's saying whatever church you're in, if it's a born again church, if they're preaching the gospel, then we're we're all calling on the same name.

Every one of us.

I don't care where you go to church.

It's not the name of your church.

而是耶稣基督的名，所有在各处求告我主耶稣基督之名的人，无论是他们还是我们。

It's the name of Jesus Christ, who all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.

This this is just the beginning of this letter, and it's already he's already putting everything into proper perspective.

And then and then those those beautiful words that he says in every single one of his letters, grace to you.

Church in Corinth, grace.

Grace to you.

Something you don't deserve.

愿恩惠与平安从神我们的父归于你们。

Grace to you and peace from God, our father.

Okay.

He's our father.

神是谁？

Who is God?

He's our father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is how he starts his letter.

And then then he begins to build them up.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God, which was given to you, the undeserved favor of God, which was given to you by Christ Jesus and that you were enriched in everything by him.

And then he just goes on in his in his in his letter.

你们在凡事上都富足，口才、知识都全备，正如基督在你们身上所作的见证得到确认。

You were enriched in everything, all utterance, all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you.

Wait a minute, Peshawarov.

We were just talking about all their problems.

But he doesn't start off dealing with the problems.

That's right.

He starts off building them up in who they are in Christ.

And that he said, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly awaiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless.

Are you kidding me?

Blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

然后他以这个作为结尾。

And then he ends up with this.

神是信实的。

God is faithful.

Oh, God is faithful by whom you were called into the fellowship of his son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

这是多么好的方式来处理教会中的问题啊。

What a way to deal, to open up and and and and deal with a problem in a church.

That's it.

That's what wisdom says.

智慧说，如果你要在事工中、在教会里处理人的问题，就必须从他们与基督的关系出发来理解。

Wisdom says, if you're gonna deal with people's problems in ministry, in the church, you must do it from an understanding of who they are in Christ.

Don't deal with people's problems unless you see those people in Christ, in their position before God.

是的。

Yeah.

That's what Paul did.

Yeah.

I mean, it's not to suggest that we turn a blind eye to the issues that we have to deal with that are in front of us in ministry in our respective churches.

He's not saying that.

He's saying you do it with wisdom.

And wisdom says, you see them, you deal with them the same way that God sees you and deals with you.
