There's so many things that have happened to us in our walk with the Lord, especially in our business where monumental decisions that we've made have come from us here in the Lord.

Specifically, many of those have been April here in the Lord, where I would be out working and grinding on deals and doing the things that I do.

Well, I know we were just talking, you know, some of the things that the Lord is doing and and you had a word tour guide, but that's what God is to us.

He is our perfect tour guide.

Holy Spirit is leading and guiding us in every second of every day.

But so often we don't recognize either the voice of God, the way He's speaking to us, or we really pigeonhole ourself into believing we only hear one way.

But really, it's usually just the way we're most comfortable with.

But He's so good, He's always speaking, He's always trying to get new heavenly information to us.

And so yeah, it is our lifeline, the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding us as the ultimate tutor tour guide along the best pathway for our lives.

and this is a sign that we've been living for a couple decades now.

We were actually talking about that Sunday this morning.

There's so many things that have happened to us in our walk with the Lord especially in our business where monumental decisions that we've made have come from us here in the Lord and specifically many of those have been April here in the Lord where I would be out working and grinding on deals and doing the things that I do and she'd be taking care of the kids and other things that are amazing.

It's happened numerous times where the Lord has told us how to do things, what not to do, where we should be, where we should not be, when the season changes, when to go from over here to over there.

And so hearing the Lord, having Him, people say the Holy Spirit is our comforter, He's our helper.

He brings back to our remembrance all things that Jesus has said.

He'll lead us into all truth.

祂是我们的保惠师。

He's our advocate.

在商业场合，人们会说：祂是我的商业伙伴。

And people in the business room will say, He's my business partner.

神是我的商业伙伴。

God is my business partner.

如果你以这种方式看待，你就会像跟你的商业伙伴交谈一样，思考、倾听、提问，进入一个大多数人永远无法触及的层面，因为他们从不这样思考。

If you looked at it that way, you'd be talking to your business partner and you'd be thinking and listening and asking questions at a whole different realm that most people probably will never get to because they don't think that way.

Wow, that's so good.

And I like what you're saying about you would come home in April.

You were being a mom and all the things, but the Lord would speak to you.

So, what was is that easy?

I'm I'm just thinking, like, that would be an adjustment that you come home and to to have the ear Mhmm.

So what did that look like for you guys?

Was it difficult or did you jump right into it?

It's the same idea is we are one flesh, right?

And so when we come together, the Lord is wanting to take the giftings that He's placed in both of us for the glory of God.

So every gift that's in common or what's in me, God's wanting to see come together and flourish for our betterment.

And so, often one person may be the forerunner in an area and then say the wife or the husband may discount themselves in that season or what their role is but it takes the two of you together hearing and flowing together.

We early on had an amazing prophetic word from one of our sisters in the faith and she said, I see you in the spirit realm and you're holding, or Colin has his hands up, she said, You're holding his arms and then you're going forward before him with a machete clearing the way spiritually.

And so when he was off to work, I was getting hours upon hours sitting at the feet of the Father and praying into every day, declaring the promises, speaking the word, and in that communal relationship, the Lord would begin to give me pictures or impressions about what was coming that day or what we'd see or decisions that were being made and I'd be able to call him and say, Hey, this is what I'm seeing, discerning.

This is the scripture that keeps popping up.

And so we got to learn how to blend our gifts together and then sharpen each other.

And that's what I believe it's supposed to look like.

Absolutely.

Yeah.

And to answer your question is, we've definitely grown in that area.

Because early on, I wasn't understanding that she was hearing and seeing things.

And so there's times, we joke about this one, April's very, very strong in the prophetic.

And so, you know, when you talk to like a pastor, the pastor will say, well, tell me everything that's going on.

And you talk to someone who's very prophetic, they'll say, well, don't tell me anything.

And I want to hear from the Lord.

Like the pastor says, like, tell me what's going on.

I want to counsel.

I want to work through it.

You know, the teacher says, let me tell you how to fix it.

You know, and then the prophet says, let me go to the Lord.

And you're like, well, how can you go to the Lord if you don't know what's going on?

Well, the answer is because I don't care what you're going tell me.

I want to hear what the Lord asked

And so it did take time.

I I think that's I say that just from an encouragement standpoint that so many times people will say, well, it's not working or it's not worked the way that we want it to.

It doesn't mean that it's not going to work.

It means you haven't found a way to make it work the right way.

It's like a lot of things in life.

There's many things that we've done in life where we didn't start them the best or we didn't have wisdom or knowledge or understanding and you keep working at it.

And just like this, like That's a

People don't go to school to become a parent.

They don't go to school to become a spouse.

But as you experience God and as you learn the word and as you learn to work together, in this case, I came to the point where I realized the Lord is speaking through her.

The Lord is giving her, having the insight.

She's hearing from the Father directly and so I need to humble myself and trust her.

And we talk about this all the time.

She's got to trust that when I'm out there doing certain things that I'm doing where she can't be there, that I'm doing it onto the Lord, that I'm doing it with integrity.

And his wisdom and his insight, his anointing for Colin.

Not just to hear maybe a Rhema word, but to be leading him every minute and guiding him in conversations and ideas and creative marketing strategies and where we're gonna put money.

And so I trust those giftings.

Over time, it's a walk of faithfulness.

I've learned to put my faith when he's making big ideas or doing things I'm not there for, that God is leading and guiding him because he is submitted to the Lord, and he's not leaning on his own understanding, and then the same thing with That's

And I think I love that you mentioned that because that is, at the beginning, he felt like he was just talking to his wife, and then he would see what I So you're thinking you're listening to emotions or heart or relationship, and then he said, But what you just said came to pass A, B, and C, and he would start to recognize God speaking through her prophetically, not just as my spouse or anyone hearing the voice of God.

It's not just my spouse.

神正通过我的女儿说话。

God is speaking through my daughter.

There's so many times where I'm like, well, doesn't make sense in the natural.

They would be like, yeah, I know.

I'd be like, well, the circumstances, and she's like, we're not going by circumstances, we're going by what the word of God says.

I'm like, after a while, came to realize, again, she's hearing from the Lord.

She submitted to the Lord.

她花大量时间与主同在。

She's spending significant time with the Lord.

The Holy Spirit speaks to her in a very clear way.

And so there's so many things too that have changed the trajectory of our family, how we raise our kids, our finances, our business, what we do in the ministry realm and it's come off of words to her or words to me and then we both process them and we come to a place where you know, which One plus one equals a much higher number than two.

And it's the, I believe it is the methodology and it's the process of God.

That's amazing.

Was just, as you were talking, thinking about multiplication, because we were visiting about that.

So have you seen more than multiplication when you kind of synced up this way as a couple?

We've gotten

to the place too, and again, don't do this perfectly, there's no perfect, like everyone's always in perfect unity, but we've gotten to the place where if we can't do it in unity, we try to avoid it.

And there's times where I see things one way, she sees things one way, but we've just realized that there is a commanded blessing in unity and it's not worth whatever benefit you might get in the natural, it's not worth frustration or strife or conflict.

And so I think we've done a very good job with this, especially the last several years specifically because there was a time where I'm like, well, she's not seeing the way that I see it or vice versa.

We've gotten to the place where how many times do you want to circle that mountain before you realize that God is calling me to trust her, God is calling her to trust me, we both have to trust the Lord.

And when we come into that idea, that three strand cord is not easily broken.

And so I think that's been a secret of our success the last couple of years as a spirit of unity and waiting for both of us to be on the same page.

Wow, that is really great.

And in the time that I grew up, it was like the dad went to work and the mom was at home and a lot of times they would grow apart because they didn't have the interaction that what we're describing.

Like how did you first realize that we really need to be

People so often in the family have their silos.

It's dad, his job, his call, what he has his hand to and then he doesn't share it, if that makes sense.

Or mom, she goes to work, this is her responsibility, she does the bills.

And same with the kids, this is me, myself, and I, and this is what I wanna do, but they never really connect in their calm, their purpose.

No different than a marriage, if you want to grow together, you're gonna have to put intentionality behind it.

Gonna choose to include everyone and help their giftings come alive.

And so even at a young age, when Carter and Leila knew very little about business, they knew about identity and they knew that God created them with a plan and a that was for good and not for evil, to give them a hope and a future, and God created them with gifts and talents.

I took his giftings or Colin would take his giftings and we would say, Buddy, we believe you see.

Then we'd validate it and let him help us make those decisions.

Not that he at five was, but we validated the voice and then helped him understand how that helped us make a decision together.

Because when you have skin in the game and you're corporately adding together, it gives you ownership and it gave them a voice to stand at a young age and they just expect now they have something of value to add to every situation because Christ is in them.

You're saying now about the family, same thing for marriage or for family.

April, a very long time ago, I don't know if it was twenty plus years ago, but she was aware that the Lord was gonna be moving with couples in ministry and couples in business.

And I I think mean, way before we saw it happening at a high level, she won't probably give herself that statement publicly.

But I remember probably twenty years ago her saying the Lord's doing something with couples in ministry.

And again, the same thing For a very long time it was the man was the minister and that the wife was the wife.

And the Lord is moving with couples in ministry at a level that we've never seen before.

He's moving with couples in business at a level that we've never seen before.

And it makes sense like you are one flesh.

And so if the husband and wife are in agreement and they're doing it together, that opens the door then for the children and the family to come together.

And that is we talk about the Lord being generational.

It's all tied together and if the husband and wife are not together, don't be surprised and if the children aren't together as well too because it's a disruption in the family unit.

So I think it all plays very beautifully together and think I it's a key.

Think the closer you can come together as a couple and get your children involved and your family involved and believe together, I think you're gonna see dramatic results.

Yeah, I oftentimes look at each part of my life and this can be overwhelming if you don't hit it from an angle of grace, but I'll look at what do I want, what do we want our marriage to look like, our family life to look like, our finances, our business, our ministry, our church life, etcetera.

And then we seek the Lord in those areas and say, does it look like?

Or what would the Lord say about this?

And so we looked at it early on and said, we don't want to live the way the world lives.

I don't want to be taking kids to sports five days per week and then every other weekend one of us is flying out of state to some tournament and our family's fractured so that our kids can play sports or whatever it might be.

And so we just looked at it and said, do we want our family life to look like?

What do we want our relationship with God to look like?

And you know, it's not perfect just because you have a desire but it sets a target to aim at and to shoot for you're working towards those victories.

Sometimes they're smaller, sometimes they're larger but you know, for us it's just, April said, it's living life intentionally And people say, well, you you can't have everything that you want to have.

We want to live a life that God permeates every aspect of it.

And we're not perfect.

We fall short all the time.

We continually have to course correct.

We continually have to rearrange things.

But that's the founding principle is living life.

Jesus said, I came to give you life and give you life to the fullest.

What does life to the fullest or life to the overflow look like in these areas?

And then again, you just start taking the promises where it says that we're God's masterpiece created in Christ Jesus for good works in every area.

And so, you know, for the family unit, how do we hear God's voice for our finances, for our business?

What do we believe in God for?

Those are all things that we're continually looking at.

I don't want a life that the world says is normal, I want what the Word says is normal.

The Word says that we shall lack no good thing.

And so I'm not just setting my expectations where the world sets them or where my parents set them or my friends around me.

I'm believing for the overflow.

And so when we have something that arises, we go to the Word of God.

Don't lean on our own understanding, but let's go to what the Word says.
